Fire Employees After Obama Elected!

In GOP, GOP. GOTP, Obama reelected employer fires 22 people, political firings, Terminations, Vegas employer fires 22 base don election on November 8, 2012 at 9:46 AM

As reported by CBS Las Vegas…… One employer fired 22 of his 114 employees as a direct result of the Obama re-election. It is shameful when one has the power to exercise his angst against people based on not having their “way” politically.  Some people never stop the satisfaction of their pacifier.  The employer, whose first name is David, asked CBS for anonymity  I am certain it will take just a few days for one of the 22 fired employees to give-up the name of the company and the name of the ‘boss’.

Las Vegas CBS.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview. Click the audio tab below to hear even more from this compelling conversation:
“I’ve done my share of educating my employees. I never tell them which way to vote. I believe in the free system we have, I believe in the right to choose who they want to be president, but I did explain as a business owner that I have always put my employees first. I always made sure that when I went without a paycheck that [I] made sure they were paid. And I explained that I always put them first and unfortunately I’m at a point where I’m being forced to have to worry about me and my family now and a business that I built from just me to 114 employees.
“I explained to them a month ago that if Obama gets in office that the regulations for Obamacare are gonna hurt our business, and I’m gonna have to make provisions to make sure I have enough money to cover the payroll taxes, the additional health care I’m gonna have to do, and I explained that to them and I said you do what you feel like in your heart you need to do, but I’m just letting you know as a warning this is things I have to think of as a business owner.
“Well unfortunately, and most of my employees are Hispanic — I’m not gonna go into what kind of company I have, but I have mostly Hispanic employees — well unfortunately we know what happened and I can’t wait around anymore, I have to be proactive. I had to lay off 22 people today to make sure that my business is gonna thrive and I’m gonna be around for years to come. I have to build up that nest egg now for the taxes and regulations that are coming my way. Elections do have consequences, but so do choices. A choice you make every day has consequences and you know what, I’ve always put my employees first, but unfortunately today I have to put me and my family first, and you watch what’s gonna happen. I’m just one guy with 114 employees — well was 114 employees — watch what happens in the next six months. The Dow alone lost 314 points today. There’s a tsunami coming and if you didn’t think this election had consequences, just wait.”

Regardless of rationale, there is something basically wrong with this picture.

Ann Romney Speaks Language of the Elitist

In Ann Romney, Donald Trump Mitt Romney, elitism personified, GOP, GOP. GOTP, Grownups on September 4, 2012 at 7:42 PM

“You people”  ”Grownups”

Ann Romney is not a topic that we discuss or report on.  We did delve deep when she commented that she and her husband would release no more tax returns, “…because you people….”.

There are certain words and phrases us common people have learned not to use as part of our (language) lexicon.  How many times have a people been referred to as “you people”.  Unfortunately, the phraseology has been snarled at people of color far more than any white American.  The words are basically a form of uppity “holier than though’ sentiment  reserved for settings comparable to those depicted in the move “The Help” or the movie “To Kill A Mockingbird“.   The words are not common to the average American, and you know it as well as I know it.   The words can be echoed by reflecting back on those famous fabled words attributed to Maria Antionette.   I can see Antoinette barking , ‘you people, you people…” and “let them eat cake”.

I have serious doubt Michelle Obama nor Laura Bush and the majority of FLOTUS’ in modern history would utter such words. Oh yes, Ann Romney was referencing a representative of the media.  Well, the media is our only insight into candidates.  Yes, Ann Romney was thumbing her nose at any one who feels she and her husband should exercise more financial transparency. And, she spoke words of a by-gone era.

Ann Romney sat before the cameras  this past weekend for an Candy Crowley. Does Mrs. Romney have any idea of how she comes across to  average Americans? The want to be FLOTUS refers to the predient of the United States of America as a non-grown-up in the room.   She mentions speaking to so many women. I ask you, do you really believe Ann Romney spends any time conversing with anyone who has earnings below the level of millionaire? If you do, you might as well leave this screed, Fox News is avoiding broadcast of the DNC convention; might be a good place for you.

Ann Romney/Crowley Linked  (minute 1:20 till end)

While I am not one who is fond of the increasing spousal role in presidential campaigns, I feel if they are going to take part, they really should come across as ‘accessible” and “interactive”. Ann Romney seems elitist, lofty, uppity and distant.
All personal biases for progressivism withstanding, Ann Romney appears as one who would turn the FLOTUS into that of “Queen of the Nation”. Can you imagine her fighting for the rights and benefits of military families?
I am certain Ann Romney is a good lady, but I feel she is not character nor experience to be an effective partner for a President of the United States of America.  Let’s take it one step further, her husband far from the right person for the POTUS.

GOP "Shock and Awe" Fits the GOP Demographic

In Akin Apology, GOP, GOP. GOTP, race, Rape on August 21, 2012 at 1:39 PM

Don’t be fooled……
Todd Akin has indicated as off 2:00PM on Monday August 20, 2012, he will ignore serious nudging from this party to consider dropping out of the 2012 Senate Race. He continues his resistance to resigning today as of 1:00PM.  His remarks from a recent round on interviews with a St. Louis, Missouri Fox News reporter finally drew ‘blood’.  I reported last week that Akin had responded to a question from Charles Jaco, Fox 2 News, with a horrid diatribe about an issue that should seriously concern all Americans. He told Jaco.

Time for a second look at federal ‘civil rights and voting rights’ laws.” (see below and linked here)

I wrote just after that release of how Akin’s comments appear as an overt manifestation of the current GOP efforts to suppress votes in key bell-weather states. Based, on a lack of response to Akin’s startling remarks from the GOP, Romney’ campaign nor the RNC, over the course of the weekend, I even intimated the possibility of Akin as a ‘tester of the waters’. Could it be possible he has been given the mission of rolling-out the ridiculous to see how it sticks, or fails to stick? Well, maybe not, but rest assured not one official from the Republican Party commented about the ridiculousness of this anti-civil rights and anti-voting rights remarks.

Let it be noted that over the years we also railed incessantly about Rush Limbaugh’s racist remarks. Until he attack American (and all) women with hos attack on Sandra Fluke, he was given free and open reign to ‘let it rip’. The Left would make note and grumble a bit (a small but mind you), but the Right never once commented in any way about his actions towards minorities and FEMANAZIS (as he calls progressive women). Once he lashed out at Fluke and became increasingly guttural major advertisers pulled out of his sponsorship and people spoke out, and did they speak-out. Even the ‘careful’ Mitt Romney said, “…..those are not words I would use”.

As long as he restricted his remarks to pure racism, bigotry and utter insensitivity Limbaugh received no serious rebuke. What do spoiled children do when left to do whatever they wish? They continue on and they double-down on the undesirable behavior.

The GOP ran scared of Limbaugh and he eventually led the “Shock and Awe” against women being perpetrated against American women. Some call it a GOP “War on Women”. Wars takes two to perpetrate. American women have done nothing to the GOP that makes me feel they are at war with the GOP. They are coming around to a war as the ballot boxes loom, but the GOP has shown its hand regarding all that it not ‘white’ male.

By refusing to address Limbaugh’s social demagoguery as an ideology leader of the GOP, the party is culpable for his actions. Akin is no different.

Before I get to additional comment about the St. Louis reporters interview and the ultimate crushing remarks from Akin, allow a moment to reflect.

During the run-up to the healthcare reform vote, Akin held town-hall meetings in his district.   It has been reported he was taken to task for what was an insensitive effort at humor as he ‘tickled’ his willing audience with a reference to how Democrats were being received in their town-hall meetings.  Akin psychically placed his hands to his neck and commented that the Democrats were being “lynched”.  Ah, a bit insensitive there, huh?  Well, if you think about the mindset behind such a remark, most politicians would not go there.  I will posit Sarah Palin would not go there and that is saying a whole bunch.

Akin explained away his crass quip by indicating he felt he was providing a humorous example for his audience. As with Joe Biden’s recent remark, maybe his cohorts should have cautioned about his words.  Just as they should have cautioned Michelle Bachmman about same.

Akin is the archetypal GOP.  He has a very apparent crass side, but his core beliefs and values speak to a GOP model that will eventually give-way to change.  If members of his party had properly cautioned about his past liberties with public insensitivity and if he followed GOP script (which he does not appear to do), Akin could have continued to mask the true politician.

And the real Akin does this……

The week for Akin and his party has been revealing. We have witnessed the net-affect’ of demagoguery taken beyond belief too far.  While the comments about abortion affects far more people in a direct manner, when coupled with his comments about legislation that facilitates voting for minorities and legislation that impacts basic civil rights for minorities, Akin has exposed the inner psyche of his party  Of course, the majority of conservatives abhor Akin’s remarks about rape.  I posit it is shame more people do not feel same about his voting right and civil rights comments.

Let’s face facts, is the GOP suppressing votes?  How can Akin’s remarks in that regard be so out of line. I suggest his remarks (gender based and race base) are not over-the-top out of line, but  revelation that cannot be apologized away.

"NO" Todd Akin, You Are Not Forgiven!

In Akin Apology, GOP, GOP. GOTP, GOPISM, Rape, Todd Akins on August 21, 2012 at 8:08 AM

Stupid and too much GOP ideology..

So, he stands in a commercial with his wife and asks for forgiveness.  A commercial that was produced overnight.  He asked to be forgiven.

No, Akin  you are not forgiven. The nation has ignored you long enough.

You did not ask for forgiveness when you gestured (with hands around the front of your neck) and commented about Democrats being lynched at town hall meetings as the nation deliberated health care reform.

You did not ask for forgiveness as you sat with the same interviewer (reporter) in the same session and commented that “….it is time to rethink Civil Rights and Voting Rights legislation”.  Does that add credence to  current GOP voter suppression? The question was rhetorical.

You did not ask for forgiveness when you clearly spoke out against the 17th Amendment of the US Constitution.

You did not ask for forgiveness when you stated the government should get out of the school lunch programs.

Yet, here you are…….

Akin, you are the perfect example of the head of a ‘boil’ that is about to burst. You are the visible part of “GOPISM”, that is killing itself with its authoritarianism,  and that authoritarianism appears to be moving towards totalitarianism.

You are the visible manifestation of GOP Policy gone way too far. You are not an aberration, you are an ‘OOOOPS”. YOU spoke from the heart and that is why the GOP has loved yo for so long.

The GOP has enabled you, and frankly, we have enabled you by not coming down on your antics well before you dug-up centuries old folklore about rape!

You are a General in GOP “Shock and Awe”  against women.   There is no GOP “War on Women”, as war takes two to perpetrate. Women have done nothing to deserve the serious “Shock and Awe” your party has signaled is to come.

Tea Party "Dishonorable Disclosure"……Swift Boating Again (VIDEO) [UPADTED - BIRTHERISM]

In Admiral McRaven, bin Laden Raid, CNN, Fox News, GOP. GOTP, Karl Rove, Leon Panetta, Smith Facebook, Swift Boats, Tea Party Swift Boat video, Wolf Blitzer, you did not kill bin laden, You Tube, Zinke on August 17, 2012 at 7:58 PM

“Dishonorable Disclosure”: a Tea Party and Anti-Obama strategy. The online mini-fantasy is baseless in its premise and the strategy’s ultimate mission is flawed.   The video is a carbon copy of Karl Rove’s Swift Boat attacks on John Kerry as he campaigned against George W. Bush in 2004. Needles to say, but Karl Rove’s Swift Boats had impact on the 2004 race.  One has to wonder if Kerry Had won the election, if the 2007/08 financial crash might have been minimized as a financial tsunami.

Ben Smith

Ben Smith, described as a Navy SEAL in the documentary, ‘Dishonorable Disclosures,’ says, ‘Mr. President, you did not kill Osama bin Laden, America did.’

Read more:

Apparently, Smith has or had information on his Facebook page about his alignment with the Tea Party. Any rational viewer and reader should question the motive and credibility of the on-camera spokesman. I would say he is probably very anti-Obama and that speaks to his probable lack of objectivity and more specifically motive.

The Politicker Dot Com reports as follows.

This is the second high-profile attack on the president from ex-elite military operatives. Last month, Ryan Zinke, a Montana State Senator and former commander of Navy SEAL Team Six, started a super PAC, Special Operations for America , which is dedicated to supporting Mitt Romney and hitting President Obama on leaks and on politicizing Bin Laden’s death. According to Mr. Zinke, these two super PACs are just the first salvo in what will be a sustained assault on the president by high-level ex-soldiers.

The following image and video relates to Current Navy Admiral McRaven , Naval Seals Operational Command.

During a recent interview with McRaven, Wolf Blitzer lead the following dialogue.

CNN
WOLF BLITZER, CNN: This is the guy who’s sitting right here who had the guts to tell the commander in chief we should do it, let’s do it. And when you ordered that raid and when you said you think you – you didn’t even know for sure that bin Laden was in Abbottabad at that compound about a mile or so away from the West Point of Pakistan, did you?ADM. WILLIAM MCRAVEN, COMMANDER, U.S. SPECIAL OPERATIONS: Well, let me make one thing clear. I didn’t order the raid.(LAUGHTER)BLITZER: But he told the president of the United States that he thought he could do it.MCRAVEN: I mean, and this is not a small point. The fact of the matter is it was the president of the United States that ordered the raid.BLITZER: And he deserves an enormous amount of credit for that decision.MCRAVEN: Absolutely, he does.(APPLAUSE)

A quick Google search yielded two versions of the interview: YouTube version (75 minutes long and actually not very interesting. Point of specific interest minutes 6:00 through 6:45) Blitzer interview (much shorter version and with some interesting production; see below).

A comment about CNN’s Linked video. I find it intriguing the CNN video (and transcript) completely excludes the first 10:00 plus minutes of the full interview. Their version did not include McRaven’s direct attribution for the raid to his superiors Leon Penetta and President Obama. CNN could only post such a video (edited as such)  with full intent. I will leave surmising of  intent to you, the reader and viewer.

Since I have taken a shot at CNN for their editing and posting decision, allow an embedded of the latest CNN report on Smith, Zinke and the Tea arty. You should finding information related to an empty office very much wrought with subterfuge.

The Right-wing entities responsible for the “SwiftBoat” like strategy have commented, the SwiftBoat campaign was very different from the 22 minute attempt at character assassination of the president. They indicate their reason for the campaign is to raise consciousness of dangers to future US operations.  The claim is pure B/S as the video clearly starts with comment about President Obama “not killing bin Laden”.
Generals Schwarzkopf. Eisenhower, MacArthur, and Admiral Halsey did not fire weapons in their victories over enemies of the United States. Their president’s also did not fire weapons. If anyone is shallow enough to grab that “….we pulled the trigger” super-machismo garbage, the video was tailored made for you.
The matter of divulging potentially dangerous operational secrets, is about as inane and ridiculous as Smith’s on camera, Obama hating. Viewers of the video are extremely shallow or inclined to ‘hate, if they cannot get their minds around a very adroit White House with close ties to Leon Panetta and Admiral McRaven. Do you really think the White House would partake in any discussion of the mission with potential movie producers without first consulting the military experts and stakeholders?  If you believe such, you are probably a consistent viewer of Fox News.

"I like to fire people who provide services to me". Mitt Romney

In Donald Trump Mitt Romney, GOP, GOP Job Losses 2013, GOP Medicare cuts, GOP. GOTP, Medicare, Moveon dot org ad, Paul Ryan, Ryan Budget Plan, The Scorpion and the Frog on August 16, 2012 at 4:28 PM

Before I bow out of the way of MoveOn Dot Org, I want to make a comment, or two.   The information graphic (below) from MoveOn  is a great piece of political advertising and persuasive messaging.

The title above is characteristic or the typical “cavalier CEO”.  Actually, the statement goes a step further. It show a deep degree of callousness for people as people sometime do not fulfill all they set out to accomplish.  They sometimes fall just shy of goals or did not totally fulfill a service agreement.  We are not perfect (Neither is the cavalier Mitt Romney). Does the person who sits ‘on-high’ have an ethical right to relish ”firing people”?

As one who spent many years in management for Fortune 250 corporations, I learned a few things about ‘terminating the employment relationship (AKA firing people).  The most important of all lessons learned is the simple fact that terminating a person means you are also terminating their family (Kids, grand kids, wife, household, medical coverage).  If the ‘firing’ is a matter of simply falling shy of expectation, what personal  psyche lives in a world of relishing’ banishing a finally off into oblivion?  It takes a very special breed.  While totally unrelated, I will add it takes the same psyche that would place a house dog on the top of a car that exceeds 20 miles per hour.  Yes, I went there.  Mitt Romney is strikingly robotic and unfeeling.

Successful venture capitalist, e,g,. vulture capitalist, are generally of the aforementioned ilk. They know when close (the deal) on an acquisition, jobs will be dispatched.  Job losses in such cases is a given, despite the CEO’s frequent promise of, “…we are not here to take your job”.  No, they come-in and dispatch the employees job thus dispatching the employee  to the employment services office.

It is almost unfathomable to believe people actually believe anyone with a background akin tot that of Mitt Romney would care one iota about Medicare.  Is it actually believable that 30 plus US millionaires (including billionaires) are contributing record amounts to GOP campaign advertising to preserve Medicare?  While Romney and Ryan are ‘point people’ for moneyed interest that seek further protection from burdens on their ability to make and horde money, their rhetoric should be a critical factor. Romney as proven he is a serial lair.  A serial liar would not choose a VP candidate who did not possess the same personal shortcomings.

“Firing people” for Romney is as second nature as borrowing federal money to facilitate vulture capital ventures. It is his nature, ‘I like to fire people who provide services to me”.   If you have never heard or read the fabled “Scorpion and the Frog”….

The Scorpion and the Frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the
scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The
frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion
says, "Because if I do, I will die too."

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,
the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,
but has just enough time to gasp "Why?"

Replies the scorpion: "Its my nature..."

Ryan’s Catholic Revolt Against The Path To Prosperity (highlighted)

In Election 2012, GOP, GOP. GOTP, Paul Ryan Budget, The Path to Prosperity on August 13, 2012 at 10:29 AM

The Raw Story published a piece about the Catholic Nuns’ Bus tour on July 2 of this year.

Paul Ryan is a Catholic. His zany budget plan (The Path to Prosperity) is not perceived by Catholic hierarchy as a plan  that is within the realm of acceptable.

The Raw Story, July 2, 2012

“Paul Ryan has claimed to be a faithful Catholic, and I have no reason to suspect that that isn’t accurate, “Sister Mary Ellen Lacy Daughter, a lobbyist at Catholic social justice lobbying group NETWORK, told Raw Story. “What we do know, and what the bishops agree with us on, is that the document, the budget that he wrote, is not a moral document. It is not a faithful budget. It is not consistent with the Catholic social teachings. He may claim one thing, but it is clearly in opposition to what we believe.”
“The reality is we should be voting for people who espouse our values, not necessarily voting for your religion,” Daughter said. “What we can judge is the product of what they put out, and Ryan put out a budget that decimates programs that provide for people’s futures.”
Ryan’s budget has also come under criticism by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, to which Ryan responded on Fox News, “These are not all the Catholic bishops, and we just respectfully disagree.”
Analysis by the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities found that Ryan’s proposed budget would give millionaires an additional $265,000 on top of the already-enacted Bush tax cuts while cutting funding for the food stamp program by $134 billion. An additional analysis found that 62 percent of Ryan’s proposed budget cuts come from programs for low-income Americans.

Ryan’s comments about the Catholic Bishops (above) is accurate. The Conference of Bishops is not comprehensive and representative of all Catholic Bishops.  Of course, the group ‘is not all bishops’.  Ryan practiced a bit of Romney-ism . He did so well before his eventual selection to  the GOP ticket. Ryan responded to the comment with a basic sophism.  His remarks were accurate, but the remarks were really not representative of the sentiments of a Catholic governing body. Ryan’s comment of “not all” can be applied if only one Catholic Bishop supported his Path to Prosperity. It was a ridiculous retort to the interviewer; and well within the Romney model of political comment. There is one thing about Catholic hierarchy that stands beyond reproach; their governing bodies govern the organization and are generally considered ‘church governing gospel’.

I doubt any religious entity, other than Terry Jones’ Westboro Baptist Church will find Ryan’s budget plan acceptable.

The Path to Prosperity.

House of Representatives (Committee On the Budget)

The Path to Prosperity:
A Blueprint for American Renewal
House Budget Committee – Fiscal Year 2013 Budget Resolution
For years, both political parties have made empty promises to the American people. Unfortunately, the President refuses to take responsibility for avoiding the debt-fueled crisis before us. Instead, his policies have put us on the path to debt and decline.

The President and his party’s leaders refuse to take action in the face of the most predictable economic crisis in our nation’s history. The President’s budget calls for more spending and more debt, while Senate Democrats – for over 1,000 days – have refused to pass a budget. This unserious approach to budgeting has serious consequences for American families, seniors, and the next generation.

We reject the broken politics of the past. The American people deserve real solutions and honest leadership. That’s what we’re delivering with our budget, The Path to Prosperity. House Republicans are advancing a plan of action for American renewal.

Our budget:

Cuts government spending to protect hardworking taxpayers;

Tackles the drivers of our debt, so our troops don’t pay the price for Washington’s failure to take action;

Restores economic freedom and ensures a level playing field for all by putting an end to special-interest favoritism and corporate welfare

Reverses the President’s policies that drive up gas prices, and instead promotes an all-of the-above strategy for unlocking American energy production to help lower costs, create jobs, and reduce dependence on foreign oil.

Strengthens health and retirement security by taking power away from government bureaucrats and empowering patients instead with control over their own care;

Reforms our broken tax code to spur job creation and economic opportunity by lowering rates, closing loopholes, and putting hardworking taxpayers ahead of special interests.

At its core, this plan of action is about putting an end to empty promises from a bankrupt government and restoring the fundamental American promise: ensuring our children have more opportunity and inherit a stronger America than our parents gave us.

The LIES of Mitt Romney

In Benjamin T. Moore Jr, Election 2012, GOP, GOP. GOTP, Jr. Romney, ROMNEY THE SERIAL LIAR on July 13, 2012 at 7:37 PM

Guest Writer…Benjamin T. Moore, Jr.

Whether we agree or disagree with a person, especially those we choose to lead us, it is important to *know* where they stand. If you are old enough to vote, you’re old enough to know there is no one with whom you will be in total agreement on every issue. Hell, I don’t always agree with myself! You may not admit it, but I suspect you could make a similar statement.

I love my wife to death. Worship the ground she *floats* above, but we do not always agree on every issue. What makes our relationship work is, the honesty and commitment to reach a consensus even if compromise is required. She likes to watch “The Closer.” My heart lept with joy when they announced it was being canceled. Nevertheless, I would sit and watch it with her because I knew she enjoyed it. It is not like I am falling on my sword for love. She doesn’t care for “Finding Bigfoot.” She points out, “they never actually find anything.” Nevertheless, she will suffer through it because she knows I like the show. There is honesty and commitment.

As a rule, we watch politics from 5 – 11pm. Some evenings, one or both of us becomes “poly-ticked out” and we turn to something else. This is the way mature people who are honest with each other conduct the business of a relationship.

Honesty allows us to truly know one another. We know our likes and dislikes, what causes us discomfort and those things that bring us joy.

Last year I underwent a minor surgical procedure. As part of their protocol they asked if I had a living will or an advanced directive. I looked at the nurse and said, “I don’t need one. I have a wife.” As those words came out of my mouth, the true significance of what I was saying hit me. “I have a wife.” When I cannot make the decision for myself, I have someone whom I can trust with my life to make that decision. I know the plug will not be pulled until all hope is truly gone and perhaps not even then.

Some of the more sentimental women may be dabbing their eyes about now, but this leads me to the point I’m trying to make. A President is making decisions on your behalf while you and your family sleep.

There were auto-workers in Detroit who were on the verge of losing their jobs, and all that went with it. They were sleeping not knowing if when they got to work in the morning, a pink slip would be waiting for them.

While they slept, a President was making moves to secure their jobs. The person running against our President said, “pull the plug.” He even went so far as to publish an “Op-Ed” explaining his reasoning and why letting Detroit go bankrupt was the right thing to do. Of course now that Detroit is on it’s way back and the automotive industry saved, he says it was his plan all along. Damn YouTube and Google!

When Mitt was running against Ted Kennedy, he was pro-choice. In explaining his stance he told a heart wrenching story of a relative, who had died from the complications of a “back alley” abortion. This lesson taught him the importance of women having access to competent medical care. Of course now, he’s “pro-life.” What changed? Did he get word his relative is now living on the planet Kolon as one of Elohim’s many “sister-wives?”

Mitt Romney said repeatedly in several speeches, that he saw his father march with Dr. King. Given there are numerous photographs in existence probably covering every march Dr. King participated in… and *NO* pictures of George Romney, a reporter pressed him on the issue. Come to find out, he meant it figuratively. In his minds little eye, he could *picture* his father marching with Dr. King. Well, Hell’s Bells! I can picture myself as a billionaire, it ain’t gonna buy me a Bentley!

Bain Capital – should be spelled “Bane” – is presenting a problem for Mr. Romney. It usually does. He now is trying the Eddie Murphy, “it wasn’t me” defence. Mitt is now trying to say that he had left the company when some of the most egregious outsourcing of jobs to China was going on. Come to find out, he was and probably still is, the *sole* stockholder. In SEC filings he was listed as the CEO. Rule of thumb: if you own *ALL* the shares of stock in a company, it’s your company and you’re in charge. So, who exactly were all these investors – who didn’t own any stock – Mitt was answering to and acting on their behalf when he was wrecking companies for profit?

Not long ago I heard Mitt tell the story of his reaction upon learning his church – the Mormon Church – had reversed itself on the issue of Black people. Heretofore, Black people were considered “cursed” by the Mormon Church and forever unworthy of the “Mormon Heaven.” I was told by a Mormon who had left the church it had more to do with the “Black Panthers” threatening to blow the doors off of the Mormon Tabernacle… but that would form the body of another story. Of course one wonders why anyone Black, white or in between, would want to go to a Mormon heaven, but I digress.

According to Mitt, upon hearing that the Mormon Heaven was now accepting Black people, he pulled over in his car and wept. My problem is, given all his lies, was he weeping for joy or weeping in dismay? Given all his lies, we just cannot tell. Mitt has a long ways to go before he can become a “real live boy.” Besides it seems he’s now professing an aversion to “fairies” blue or otherwise… and he says they used to get along so well?

UPDATE VIDEO: Romney’s "Upper Crust" speak and deliver $3 million

In Cantor, GOP, GOP. GOTP, Hampton, k, Nail Ladies, s Mitt Romney, Uneducated on July 10, 2012 at 12:22 PM

Is there really any wonder?

The LA Times and other sources are reporting on the elect Romney campaign ’shin-dig’ at the Hamptons over the ‘second’ 4th of July “weekend.    Romney left the mansion laden landscape with a ‘cool’ $3 million neatly folded into his war chest; a good result and an expected result.  He also left the Hamptons with a ‘sticky’ trial of elitism comments that can only equal comment of people who would have appeared on the no defunct “Life Styles and the Rich and Famous” Show, if the exclusive properties included comment from occupant denizens.

Since, we have little opportunity to secure first hand reports on the lavish ‘upper crust’ event, we are at the mercy of reporters who have either captured or purchase reports related on the event.  Of course, Rachel Maddow askance of whether there exist an  insider who has leaked information, is moot although intriguing.

The LA time offers a snippet of how the upper crust thinks and speaks.
A money manager in a green Jeep said it was time for Romney to “up his game and be more reactive.” So far, said the donor (who would not give his name because he said it would hurt his business), Romney has had a “very timid offense.”

A New York City donor a few cars back, who also would not give her name, said Romney needed to do a better job connecting. “I don’t think the common person is getting it,” she said from the passenger seat of a Range Rover stamped with East Hampton beach permits. “Nobody understands why Obama is hurting them.

“We’ve got the message,” she added. “But my college kid, the baby sitters, the nails ladies — everybody who’s got the right to vote — they don’t understand what’s going on. I just think if you’re lower income — one, you’re not as educated, two, they don’t understand how it works, they don’t understand how the systems work, they don’t understand the impact.”
(I wonder the wisdom of knocking the ‘nails ladies”. I also wonder if the nail ladies are comparable to the shoe shine boys of old.)

It seem the wealth just have to have people to look down upon.

Apparently, the guardian of the nation’s wealthy Eric Cantor hob-knob with the best of the guest.  The Koch’s sponsored an evening event that certainly left Romney with an inflated campaign hoppers, and a good dose of Koch expectations once the stooge is elected, should the baton suffer such a fate.

As Romney winged off to another ‘upper crust’ enclave in Colorado, a friend PC’d a comment that I must share.  I do not think most Americans are truly envious of ‘upper crust’ wealth.  But, when the upper crust lumps us into ‘the uneducated’ classification as if clumping the Hunger Game minions into play fields of play, some move to comment.

MerryKat…
Well, this common person is educated, and understands full well that the snobby bitch quoted in this article has no idea how the world really works.

She needs to understand that I don’t want to live my life as a slave to some corporation just so she, and all the others like her, can live her life without ever doing a days honest work.

I’d like to see her scrub toilets for $8.00 an hour and then call it a fair wage when it won’t even pay the rent.

End MerryKat….

In a strange way, the comments from the ‘nail lady’ reminds of the upper crust denizens from the movie “The Help“. I can see them sitting around that dinner table as stiff and upper crust as a cheap over-starched dress shirt.  Only difference, the Hamptons ‘upper crust’ and the likes of Eric Cantor, do not restrict their ‘lofty elitism and oppression’ to a black maids….they would just as soon deliver same to you.

And the GOP protects those ‘uber’ wealthy elitist from paying just a bit more in taxes!
