Ron Paul Straight Talk Against The Federal Reserve System

In Ron Paul, the Fed, Paul Weekly Address, Straight Talk ron Paul, The Federal Reserve Bank, Paul Newsletters on April 24, 2013 at 6:22 PM

Apparently, Ron Paul has delivers a weekly address. I was unaware of the rambles of the elder Paul, and that is no surprise. Paul says, writes nor thinks one thing on which I can find interest in spending one millisecond of my time.

His April 18 discourse. Straight-Talk is a radio platform.
Straight Talk from Ron Paul ended many years ago as he contemplated pursuing a career in politics. I can only assume he practiced straight talk with his past medical patients.

Straight talk from Paul takes me back to his former Newsletter.

Huffington Post

So what racially insensitive remarks has Paul supposedly made about blacks and civil rights in his newsletters and elsewhere?

Here’s a list:

  • The Ron Paul Political Report newsletter stated the public should bear arms to protect themselves against carjackings by “urban youth who play whites like pianos.” Note that the terms “black” or “African American” aren’t used in this newsletter sample. However, the racially coded term “urban” and reference to “whites” makes it easy for the reader to ascertain what skin color the youth in question have. The newsletter, written in the first-person, continued on this topic with the following assertion: “I’ve urged everyone in my family to know how to use a gun in self-defense. For the animals are coming.” Now these animal wouldn’t be blacks, would they?
  • In another newsletter, Paul described most black men in Washington, D.C., as “semi-criminal or entirely criminal.”
  • Talking Points Memo reported that in December 1990, Paul suggested that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. sexually molested girls and boys, remarking: “And we are supposed to honor this ‘Christian minister’ and lying socialist with a holiday that puts him on par with George Washington?”
  • In a 1993 Ron Paul Survival Report newsletter, alarm was raised about “The Disappearing White Majority.” The newsletter referenced the growing birth rate of people of color and expressed a pro-segregation stance with this comment: “It is human nature that like attracts likes. But whites are not allowed to express this same human impulse. Except in a de facto sense, there can be no white schools, white clubs, or white neighborhoods. The political system demands white integration, while allowing black segregation.”
  • In May 2011, Paul told MSNBC that he would have voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which ended Jim Crow. He questioned the act because it took authority away from property owners. Evidently, Paul values the rights of racist property owners over those of African Americans whose housing, employment, schooling and leisure activities were all dictated by Jim Crow.

If Paul wants to claim ‘straight talk’ (a seemingly new mantra for the GOP, McCain uses it quite a bit) he should simply come clean on his past and start anew. Most of his white supremacist followers and supporters are open in their racism and anti-semitic beliefs.

End digression into Paul’s ‘straight talk’.

Paul’s April 18, comments echoed the latest in his anti-government rambles. Remember he posited eliminating five government agencies.

While there is a wealth of information across the web related to the Federal Reserve System, we thought today’s Daily Infographic is a good representation of a Federal agency which serves a real purpose in providing economic structure and a banking system foundation for our capitalist economic system. Would the libertarian Paul replace the Fed with state PRIVATE banks in some coalition to provide a national support system for the nation’s economy?

So, it might be a couple of read-throughs of this infographic before you really grasp all the subtleties of the Federal Reserve System. Despite its claim, this is not a particularly “visual” guide. However, I think it neatly sums up many of the questions asked about the Fed through text. Basically, the Federal Reserve’s duty is to keep inflation balanced and in a state of not growing too much or too little. While this is almost impossible, it is mostly achieved through setting the federal funds rate, a very important task. Unfortunately, the Fed relies on the judgement of humans, and therefore is not a foolproof system at all. While the Federal Reserve may be irksome at times, it is important to recognize that the nature of the system is meaningful and well intended. Banks need money. The government needs money. The Federal Reserve regulates this money. When you boil it down, these are the basic things that the Fed does, and everyone should be aware of its purpose.

In the end, the Federal Reserve should not be looked upon as the bad guy. It’s just the middle man trying to make sense of the millions of expenditures that banks and government do everyday.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Rand Paul Visits Howard University

I thought of writing a detailed screed about Rand Paul’s visit the the predominantly black Howard University.  My thoughts about Paul’s visit  wore thin like  a favorite doubled scoped ice flavor in 100 degree heat.  The purchase of the double scope was as ridiculous as not factor-in the forecast temperature. wasting time on a detailed screed about Rand Paul and his visit the Howard would be a silly as purchasing that favorite ice cream flavor the day after his campus visit.

Paul made his attentions to run for the GOP presidential nomination quite plain in early 2013. You may have noticed Paul grew very very quiet as his racist father sought the GOP nomination to run against President Obama.  Paul Newsletters; 10 Quotes That Make Ron Paul Sound Racist; This Is How We Feed Animals…..; In the company of white supremacists (2007 image)

In fairness, I have read that Don Black no longer serves in the stated role of Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan.

Yes, I am writing about Rand Paul here, not ron Paul. Questions, “How far of an apple did you fall from your parents upbringing tree?”  Children and young people who grow-up in an environment rich with racism (black of white racism)  will certainly have bigotry and racism as a basis for the rest of their lives.  Unless, and of course, the young person reaches-out for or circumstantially experiences an intervention.

Rand Paul has not experienced any such intervention regarding issues of race, Civil Rights and or Human Rights.
The Raw Story and Rachel Maddow video

“Rand Paul saying at Howard University today he never questioned the Civil Rights Act is not true,” she concluded, “and it’s not true on tape, as the moderator noted today at Howard. It’s one thing to have a sketchy record on racial discrimination you don’t want to defend, it’s another to think you can get away with flat-out lying about it. If you’re a U.S. Senator, you’re Google-able and people are going to Google you so they will know it when you lie to their faces.”

Is Paul’s campaign going to wallow in false premise appearances wrought with lies and insulting condensations?   Does the racist candidate truly believe, as many in the GOP believe,  outreach into the black community will be a cakewalk if accompanied by overwhelming insults, lies and audaciousness and poor judgment comparable to slapping a lion cub with Papa Lion standing within paw reach?

Paul underestimates the intellect of his audience by rolling-out that tired old refrain from the GOP, “Don’t you know that republicans freed the slaves;  don’t you know early supporters of the GOP were republican.”  Oh, how trite and insulting!  I don’t believe Rand Paul was crass enough to use the Martin Luther King, refrain along with his standard drivel.

The “Thousand Mile Storm”

Federal Government leadership and strategic wherewithal makes GOP policy and rhetoric appear tragically comical.

The “Thousand Mile Storm – Sandy” with reports of high waves crest in the Eastern Great Lakes and reports of associated winds in Paris, France has led to an Obama Administration decision that constitutes an Executive Branch rarity.  The Energy Department will act to support recovery efforts in the nation’s eastern corridor according to CNBC News…..

The Energy Department will release fuel from the northeast heating oil reserve to help in the Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts.

The CNBC article provides details of the fuel release and indicates a first time release of heating oil reserves.

A Brief look at US Strategic Oil Reserves

Quick Facts

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is a U.S. Government complex of four sites with deep underground storage caverns created in salt domes along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coasts.  The caverns have a capacity of 727 million barrels and store emergency supplies of crude oil owned by the U.S. Government.
WIKI
The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is an emergency fuel storage of oil maintained by the United States Department of Energy. It is the largest emergency supply in the world with the capacity to hold up to 727 million barrels (115,600,000 m3).
Access to the reserve is determined by the conditions written into the 1975 Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), primarily to counter a severe supply interruption.
The SPR was created following the 1973 energy crisis.
The current inventory is displayed on the SPR’s website

  • Current inventory -  Click to open inventory update window
  • Highest inventory -  The SPR was filled to its 727 million barrel capacity on December 27, 2009; the inventory of 726.6 million barrels was the highest ever held in the SPR.
  • Previous inventory milestones
  1. 2008.  Prior to Hurricane Gustav coming ashore on September 1, 2008, the SPR had reached 707.21 million barrels, the highest level ever held up until that date.  A series of emergency exchanges conducted after Hurricane Gustav, followed shortly thereafter by Hurricane Ike, reduced the level by 5.4 million barrels.
  2. 2005.  Prior to the 2008 hurricane releases, the former record had been reached in late August 2005, just days before Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast.  Hurricane Katrina emergency releases of both crude oil sales and exchanges (loans)  totaled 20.8 million barrels.
  • Crude oil inventory distribution
  1. Bryan Mound - holds 254 MMB in 20 caverns – 78 MMB sweet and 176 MMB sour.
  2. Big Hill - holds 170.1 MMB in 14 caverns - 73 MMB sweet and 98 MMB sour.
  3. West Hackberry - holds 228.2 MMB in 22 caverns – 120 MMB sweet and 108 MMB sour.
  4. Bayou Choctaw - holds 73.2 MMB in 6 caverns – 22 MMB sweet and 52 MMB sour.
  • Current storage capacity - 727 million barrels

CNBC
The Energy Department will release fuel from the northeast heating oil reserve to help in the Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts.

This release includes diesel fuel for emergency equipment and buildings, including electrical generators, water pumps, GSA buildings, trucks and other vehicles.

“Today’s announcement is part of the broader federal effort to respond to those impacted by Hurricane Sandy,” said Energy Secretary Steven Chu. “This loan from the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve will help ensure state, local and federal responders in the impacted area have access to the diesel fuel they need to continue response and recovery efforts.”

This is the first time fuel has been released from the heating oil reserve.

Natural disasters involve planning and recovery measures from the energy department.  During the GOP primaries the nation was again reminded of GOP longing to reduce the federal government by as many as five agencies.
Five federal agencies that are on Ron Paul’s hit list:
“Presidential hopeful Ron Paul’s new proposal to slash federal spending would wipe out large chunks of the government’s research portfolio. The congressman from Texas and Republican candidate has unveiled a budget  plan to reduce the deficit that would eliminate five federal departments: Energy, Commerce, Interior, Education, and Housing and Urban Development. In one fell swoop, such a step would erase, among other programs, the Energy Department’s $5-billion Office of Science, the $4.5-billion National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the $750-million National Institute of Standards.
If you are thinking, Paul quietly left the campaign trail, do not relish in that thought.  Mitt Romney picked-up after Paul, and now will not speak one word about disaster preparedness and relief.

Mitt spoke not long ago….

Disaster coordination is one of the most vital functions of “big government,” which is why Mitt Romney wants to eliminate it. At a Republican primary debate last year, Mr. Romney was asked whether emergency management was a function that should be returned to the states. He not only agreed , he went further.
“Absolutely,” he said. “Every time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that’s the right direction. And if you can go even further and send it back to the private sector, that’s even better.” Mr. Romney not only believes that states acting independently can handle the response to a vast East Coast storm better than Washington, but that profit-making companies can do an even better job. He said it was “immoral” for the federal government to do all these things if it means increasing the debt.
The GOP has reaped federal government malfeasance on this nation for far too long.  We have suffered from their paradigm false belief in no regulation  We have felt the bear death experience of their policy and practices regarding taxes and wars. Their obvious deference and pandering to big business has led to unbalanced administration of taxes policies.   And, their social agenda has resulted in proliferation of a higher level of intolerance for minorities and beyond belief authoritarianism towards women (especially women of child-bearing age).

Are we to follow the GOP on their deep rooted agenda to “return…..to the states”? The nation’s states are ill-equipped to handle major catastrophes like Katrina and Sandy.  There must always exist a central authority with requisite professionals, competent experts, and distribution channels for such emergencies.

The states with influences like ALEC, lobbyist, legislators with less wherewithal in any form of governance  and no professionally competent disaster agencies couldn’t prepare to deal with a Katrina or a Sandy or worse for many years.

Hate Crimes: The Republican Party is Responsible for White Supremacist!

In GOP, Hate Crimes, Ron Paul, Ronald Reagan, white supremacist on August 11, 2012 at 8:21 PM

The FBI reports ….

Hate crimes add an element of bias to traditional crimes—and the mixture is toxic to our communities.

klan3.jpg

Crimes of hatred and prejudice—from lynchings to cross burnings to vandalism of synagogues—are a sad fact of American history, but the term “hate crime” did not enter the nation’s vocabulary until the 1980s, when emerging hate groups like the Skinheads launched a wave of bias-related crime. The FBI began investigating what we now call hate crimes as far back as World War I, when the Ku Klux Klan first attracted our attention. Today, we remain dedicated to working with state and local partners to prevent these crimes and to bring to justice those who commit them.

As I started development of this screed I was driven by a desire to get a better feel for the genesis, roots and foundation of full blown white supremacy. Full-blown in the context of data reflecting supremacy correlates to Democrat administrations. Thus, we are at the precipice of the current cycle of ‘Manifest Hatred”.   Correlation became nuclear fusion in 2009 when Barack Obama became president.  You will notice below clear evidence that when the GOP is in the White House, hate crimes subside.

I will make direct assertions of where and when hate crimes actually became part of American culture. It seems evident as one considers the information from the FBI and recall of the late 1970s and early 1980s.

My premise: the proliferation of hate crimes is the direct result of GOP strategy and social paradigm

The words “hate crime” as described above became part of the US English lexicon in the late 1970s and early 1980s.  As evidenced by the image just above, there are segments of the US population that can, and will, attest to hate crimes as an everyday threat to life, family and livelihood. For purpose of this screed, let’s take a look back via use the FBI time frame for the ‘newly’ coined phraseology: “hate crimes”.

My purpose in even exploring hate crimes and white supremacy, has little to do with disparaging the name of past or current leaders of our nation. My purpose is to express my perception of when I noticed the proliferation of hate crimes beyond the boundaries of the American South.  Equally important is consideration of how the phraseology came to our lexicon.

I suggest that in the late 1970s political operatives like Lee Atwater and Harry S. Dent, Sr. craftily and effectively developed a winning political strategy. The strategy was a sure winner in the nation’s southern states, thus providing a solid bloc of regional wins in each general election. The Atwater and Dent, Sr. “Southern Strategy” seeded in the early 1970s with Nixon political advisers grew to full maturity by the late 1970s and early 1980s.

As a member of the Reagan administration in 1981, Atwater gave an anonymous interview to political scientist Alexander P. Lamis. Part of this interview was printed in Lamis’ book The Two-Party South, then reprinted in Southern Politics in the 1990s with Atwater’s name revealed. Bob Herbert reported on the interview in the 6 October 2005 edition of the New York Times. Atwater talked about the GOP’s Southern Strategy and Ronald Reagan‘s version of it:Atwater: As to the whole Southern strategy that Harry S. Dent, Sr. and others put together in 1968, opposition to the Voting Rights Act would have been a central part of keeping the South. Now [the new Southern Strategy of Ronald Reagan] doesn’t have to do that. All you have to do to keep the South is for Reagan to run in place on the issues he’s campaigned on since 1964 and that’s fiscal conservatism, balancing the budget, cut taxes, you know, the whole cluster.Questioner: But the fact is, isn’t it, that Reagan does get to the Wallace voter and to the racist side of the Wallace voter by doing away with legal services, by cutting down on food stamps?Atwater: You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can’t say “nigger” — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states’ rights and all that stuff. You’re getting so abstract now [that] you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I’m not saying that. But I’m saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “Nigger, nigger.”[6][7]

When I think of Dent and Atwater’s creation, I often think in terms of the fabled Dr. Frankenstein’s Monster (for me the pitiful but dangerous Boris Korloff monster). The ‘southern strategy’ monster has developed into fully operational election strategy for the GOP. We saw evidence of such with the Roger Ailes “Willie Horton” ads against Michael Dukakis and more recently you saw deployment by both New Gingrich (welfare strategy) and Rick Santorum’s “BLAH” People.

It is an easily deployed strategy and a regional winner, politicians who have little self-respect and will deploy Atwater and Dent, Sr.’s monster.  John McCain did not go there while his vice presidential selection chopped at the bits and even encouraged crowd angst around the periphery of the strategy. The GOP and the Romney campaign are obviously hoping the strategy is a winning strategy beyond the ‘Bible” belt southern, south-west and the less densely populated central corridor of the States. It is obvious the strategy has come out of the closet.

CNN

The actual revitalization of the southern strategy (post-Nixon) lies squarely with Ronald Reagan.  After Reagan’s setback in an earlier attempt to secure the GOP nomination for President, he took a step back and developed a platform for a more successful launch for the top.  He syndicated an editorial column, joined the lecture circuit, and via his advisers quietly developed a win-win strategy with close advisers: the aforementioned southern strategy. The basis of his staff’s feverish work was simple. The simple goal: develop a divide that would tip the balance of national sentiment to the Right, and leverage the (disputable) perception of  a weak and ineffective president in Jimmie Carter.  Unfortunately, a few points in Reagan’s stratagem had lingering impact through today.  He postulated and wrote OP-Eds  in the following areas as he prepared for the run against Carter.
I. His preaching an opining on the alleged ‘welfare state’ in the US, inclusive of “Welfare Queen”, was a major coup on the American psyche. WIKI
welfare queen is a pejorative phrase used in the United States to describe people who are accused of collecting excessive welfare payments through fraud or manipulation. Reporting on welfare fraud began during the early 1960s, appearing in general interest magazines such as Readers Digest. The term entered the American lexicon during Ronald Reagan’s 1976 presidential campaign when he described a “welfare queen” from Chicago’s South Side.[1]Since then, it has become a stigmatizing label placed on recidivist poor mothers, with studies showing that it often carries gendered and racial connotations.[2][3] Although American women can no longer stay on welfare indefinitely due to the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act, the term continues to shape American dialogue on poverty.[3]

II. His attacks on Affirmative Actions were extremely successful. The attack and  peripheral issues related to fair and equal employment opportunities was a safe bet for his southern strategy.  It was safe because US population figures during his time reflected an even more predominantly white populace than today. The figures have changed, and are continuing to change, but the figures during Reagan/Carter Era facilitated  a powerful dynamic. A dynamic which probably reached into every household in the United States. If a family did not know of the prospect of a black person getting a job their relative could have secured, they knew a family with that as potential. Reagan’s attack on Affirmative Action was classic ‘southern strategy”.
III. His economic theory throughout his campaign for the GOP nomination appeared to have a solid foundation base.  If the American upper crust (oligarchy) were allowed to have opportunity for additional wealth, riches and opulence, it would ’trickle-down” to the middle and lower income citizens. Well, the theory was as absolutely ridiculous as his eventual plans to sell arms to Iran while facilitating drug cartel sells in certain US cities to fund the Contras in Nicaragua. Of course, his henchman Oliver North facilitated the arms sells to Iran and the illicit drug cartel operations. The president would never dirty his hands with such.
If you look again at the first two points above, you will find document able evidence a revitalization of the infantile GOP ”southern strategy”.
In other words, Lee Atwater would have recommended, “go after the South as a solid block, hit everybody with Affirmative Action, and take the ‘anti-blcak’ sentiments into the voting booths.  Oh, and Atwater would also suggest, “show a little love for the extremely racist Bob Jones University”.   And, the sad part of all of that, the black population during Reagan’s years may not have reached 12 per cent of the population.  All said,  I think the evolution of what we see today white supremacy, has roots in the in, “….it is OK to show your angst and hatred for blacks” that was conceived and injected into our political and social paradigms for the Father of American Conservatism.
As was the case with Atwater, I have no doubt Ronald Reagan was no racist. Yet, Atwater brazenly used Dent Sr. and his School of Campaign with total effectiveness. The strategy wins large numbers of votes in certain regions, among Americans conservatives and conservative leaning independents. Since, we are speaking frankly, it is not possible to overlook the many libertarians who follow Ron Paul. By default, they align with the ideology of racism. Paul has actually cuddled with supremacist  and has been reported to privately communicate with such groups. Yes the strategy works based on America’s continued embrace of racism, bigotry and total intolerance of any person or culture outside    the false model of an American. The strategy is a   deleterious drain on the psyche of our nation and it is impossible to turn-it-off as after the strategy becomes paradigm.  Paradigm leads to irrational thought and irrational thought leads to exhibitions of hatred against a people.  In the case of the white supremacist, hatred of any people of color, Jews, and Catholics.\
As indicated in this link,  people like Ron Paul, Ronald Reagan and their operatives are responsible for the following.

http://www.adl.org/

Shooting at Sikh Temple in WI
Now notice the following graph clearly shows a significant trend away from supremacist groups when the GOP occupies the White House.
Very revealing wan’t it!  Let’s ad one year to the experience.
While I find it distasteful to mention Ronald Reagans’ name in the same texts as Ron Paul, it is impossible to ignore the influence of such people on US racism and bigotry. Facts are hard to argue.
We also posit the ever-present exhibition and displays of racism from the Right (Images, email, use of code) are a basis of modern Republicanism.  Hate crimes in the United States will subside in two ways; one much sooner than the other.   First (and less likely) citizens will find it deplorable and unacceptable again. This prospect is remote;  the Right has a few demagogues who earn copious and obscene amounts of money spewing the language of bigotry and racism.  Also the political Right will never forsake the dedicated voting bloc that satiates with ever use of the southern strategy.    Or, hate crimes will diminish as the US population becomes such that the current racial majority level with the rest of the population. The numbers are changing. By the end of the 21st Century there may be no discernible majority or minority populations. Until the latter takes place, we will have to live with the consistent and increasing instances of hate crimes.

Ron Paul…..The Shame

In Ron Paul on May 26, 2012 at 9:57 PM

The following was captured from a quick Facebook review.

I often wonder why some have interest in supporting someone like Ron Paul. He has obvious issues that place him on the absolute far, far-Right fringe of the American Psyche.

Of course, when a politician runs around the country speaking about legalizing Pot and Heroin, fully legalizing prostitution (Nationally) and eliminating government agencies as well as not fighting wars, the politician will garner attention. Attention is one thing, blind faith to those constituents baiting platform demagoguery fails to compare to the following list of Paul’s legislative background.

Take a look….

Another interesting factor: the loud noises and carefully photographed exuberance for Paul did not translate into actual votes.

A dangerous man to say the least.

Rand Paul as himself!!

In .Rence Priebus, Face the Nation, frank Schieffer, Gay Jokes, Meet the Press, Rand Paul, Ron Paul, tony Perkins on May 13, 2012 at 9:37 PM

Apples don’t fall far from the tree!

Rand Paul, one of the nation’s leading bigoted politicians and a member of the United States Senate, provides a topic for Face the Nation’s Bob Schieffer and his guest.  An elected Senator from the State of Kentucky commits the following.

YouTube Dot Com (56 Seconds)

The Chairman of the RNC, Rence Priebus,  on Meet The Press said, “I don’t know what he meant by that.”

Both Perkins, and avid anti-gay, Evangelic leader and Priebus missed the point.  Of course, they did not miss the point, they got the point as clearly as the Paul’s are racist and social bigots.  The point was clearly understood by Paul’s audience, and there-in lies a critical point.

If you need a reminder of the point.

Exhibit A.

Exhibit B.

Exhibit C.

GOP audience;’s always get the point and they show their glee.  Their politicians feign ignorance of the actions of their supporters.  The camera and the microphone are mechanical devices and they do not have the brain for feigning “I do not understand”, “I don’t get it”. The tools simply record reality; politicians lie.  In fairness Perkins came down hard on the side of decency vs. than Priebus feigning ignorance of intent.  It will be interesting to see how other GOP pundits respond to Paul’s bigotry as the coming week unfolds.  Of course, if you want to see responses to the Paul comments you have to watch MSNBC. I doubt CNN will find broadcast time and we know Fox News will avoid the disgust.

One does not have to think very hard to “get it”. Perkins “got it and it was s sad exhibition all to common from Republican politicians.  Despite the level of disgust, they reach to their audience for support of views right out of the dark ages.  They lay the bigotry on the audience and the audience responds like hungry wolves.

If one thinks back in tome to the not terrible distant past, how do the powerful manipulate the minds of their subjects towards dangerous ends.

Joseph Goebbels provided such mind influence manipulation for the Third Reich.

The Rwandan Genocide was nurtured via degrading references and actions between sects within the Rwandan People. (Cockroaches was the code word).

Native Americans were labeled savages and other evils as our forebears perpetrated Manifest Destiny across the continent.

And, lest we forget hundreds and hundreds years of degrading characterization of black freed slaves to facilitate Jim Crowe and black de-humanizing.

Irish Immigrants, Italian Immigrants, Asian Immigrants and Latino Immigrants all suffered the same demeaning fate from people who grasps their conferred privilege and dare throw stones from high.

Hasn’t Rush Limbaugh  done same for women who have (in the past, or are using contraception for any reason. “SLUT” and “PROSTITUTES”.

How many instances of racist references have led to ‘half-hearted” apologizes from GOP politicians since January 2009.  Hell, even Joe  Biden and Harry Reid have been forced through their actions to offer apologizes. Even those two climbed the latter of conferred privilege.  For those who will grab my comments about Biden and Reid, think twice and the scope and depth in numbers of actions from the Right.

Unfortunately, religious fanaticism is endemic and epidemic on the Far-Right. As matter of fact it is worse; it is systemic in the  Far-Right. We are even seeing cases of religious  fanaticism in the Black Community as we move from President Obama’s admission of his views on same sex marriage.   Bigotry is bigotry regardless of the perpetrator.

The United States will never heal its social and economic ills if our politicians cannot be relied upon as providing some sort of model.  While, I expect nothing more from the Paul’s, one would think a religious audience would respond a bit differently than Paul’s  applause. That same audience undoubtedly started their event with a prayer.

The majority of religious audiences would not have found Paul’s disgust acceptable. But, then we are writing about the Far-Right evangelicals.  And, that is a constituent population that is a denizen group of the GOP.

If we cannot police our leaders, we are equally guilty of malfeasance.  The nation is six months away for the general Election and members of the GOP are still showing arrogance of social views.

Alas, all in the GOP are not as Jurassic (ly) bigoted and racist as Rand Paul.

ThinkProgress on Paul’ comments.

This is hardly the first time Sen. Paul found himself so far out of a limb that even leading conservatives had to distance themselves from him. Last year, Paul came out against the nearly fifty year-old federal ban on whites-only lunch counters — claiming that permitting racial segregation is the “hard part of believing in freedom.” Even Tea Party Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) disagreed with Paul on this point.

Paul won election to his Senate seat during the 2010 Tea Party wins across the  nation. The people of Kentucky should rid themselves of the likes of Paul. He is not fit to serve as  United States Senator.

Anonymous Operation Blitzkrieg, Ron Paul, and hate groups

In Anonymous, Operation Blitzkrieg, Ron Paul, Ron Paul News Letter, Ron Paul News Report on February 2, 2012 at 3:49 PM

A Trojan Horse for the extreme Right and a model for the gullible!

Earlier this week I reported on a Huffing Post-TECH article about the ”Hacktivist” group Anonymous. I readily admit to being outside of the scope of knowing that some refer to the group as “Hacktivist”.  The moniker is very fitting. For my purpose, I prefer the term “Guardian Hacktivist.”

Many progressive writers and speakers have communicated about the ‘closet’ racism of one Ron Paul (R) Texas.   The Progressive Influence articles about Paul are read more than any one article posted on this site since its inception.  Ron Paul is a shady character who obviously has an affinity for , and an affinity to, all anti-human rights and anti-civil rights movements. He speaks of Martim Luther King, he speaks of liberty, and he speaks of freedom, yet he cohorts with the worse in our society.

The path Paul follows is one our nation evolved from over 50 years ago.  He certainly is stuck in that era.  Paul has been photographed with former leaders of the Ku Klux Klan, racist web site web developers of heinously racist web sites, and he has been endorsed by the like of David Duke, former Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon. One only has to listen to rand Paul (his Rachel Maddow interview) to see and hear that the younger Paul was raised in a home filled with, frankly, bigotry as a minimum.  My effort to be sensitive by avoiding use of the words racist household, is out of respect for Mrs. Paul of whom I know nothing.

The latest episode of Anonymous (action Hero) hacktivist actions are being focused on  the American Nazi Party.  After the hacking and disruption of US Government systems, as well as movie industry and record industry systems (in protest t against SOPA/PIPA and allegedly the MegaUpload raid) something interesting happened.  I saw an interview in which a person spoke about the hope that Anonymous and like groups could one day help with cyber attacks from hostile nations.  Ah, maybe far too premature for that action from Anonymous, but their work against the American Nazi Party is about as noble as I can conjecture in my mind.

Examiner.com has published an article about the Anonymous war on our nation’s most unsavory and anarchist hate groups. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on one’s perspective, Ron Paul is right in the midst of the most recent revelations.

Excerpt

On Tuesday, Anonymous enthusiasts hacked and defaced the website of American Third Position (A3P),  a major US-based white supremacist network.

Anonymous via the link emblem above reports documents ”liberated” from the Tuesday raid, “….show that “Ron Paul has regularly met with many A3P members, even engaging in conference calls with their board of directors.”   You and I both know that one does not interact with a board of directors unless one is highly thought of, an ambassador, or receives some form of support from the (specific) board. Either scenario is damning for Dr. Paul (as some like to call him).

Apparently Anonymous has unleashed and “Operation Blitzkerg” against white supremacist groups and the American Nazi party.

Operation Blitzkrieg (#OpBlitzkrieg).  On Sunday, as part of Operation Blitzkrieg, hacktivists associated with Anonymous hacked and defaced the web page belonging to the American Nazi Party.

The linked Twitter thread is intriguing.  The thread reminds of an operations report between operating units on a battle field.

After an introduction to one group hacked by Anonymous (A3P), examiner.com posted the following message from Operation Blitzkrieg.

Anonymous hacktivists announcing the successful operation against American Third Position:
American Third Position Hacked and Destroyed; Private Emails Expose Blatant Racism and Ties to Ron Paul
Fellow anons: we are pleased to bring you the dismantling of a major US-based white supremacist network known as the “American Third Position”(A3P). These racist losers have chapters across the US, operate several white power websites, forums and online stores, and are even running a candidate in the 2012 elections. Although they try hard to maintain a professional public image to camouflage their vile racism, we’re now airing all their dirty laundry all over the Internet. Contained in this major dump are several thousand private forum messages, personal emails, internal organization notes, names, phone numbers, home addresses and other information on all of their members and supporters. It’s time for these cowardly suit and tie white supremacists to sleep with one eye open. Scared much?
In addition to finding the usual racist rants and interactions with other white power groups, we also found a disturbingly high amount of members who are also involved in campaigning for Ron Paul. According to these messages, Ron Paul has regularly met with many A3P members, even engaging in conference calls with their board of directors. Ron Paul’s racist politics and affiliations are already well known, being viciously anti-immigrant, anti-abortion and against gay marriage — not to mention having authored the racist “Ron Paul Papers” and receiving financial support from other white power groups (pictured with Don Black from stormfront.org). Hard to believe Ron Paul draws some support from the left and the occupation movements, especially now that it is confirmed Ron Paul hangs out with straight up racist hate groups.
We put extra effort in ruining the life of A3P webmaster Jamie Kelso. On top of being on the board of directors of A3P, former $cientologist, and high ranking Ron Paul organizer, he also is the account owner of german nazi forums and store nsl-forum.org, rhs-versand.com. We went ahead and wiped those websites off the internet as well, dumping private messages and order information. Aside from us releasing his information such as his social security number, address, resume and private discussions, we also heard some folks went on a joyride with Kelso’s credit card and made some lulzy purchases, including sex toy purchases and making donations to the Anti Defamation League and many others. Oops.
We call upon not only other antifascists but all those opposed to white supremacy to utilize this information and make hell for these white nationalist scumbags. It is essential if we wish to live in a world free from oppression to expose and confront racists at their jobs, their schools, at their homes and in the streets.
No Dialogue! No sympathy! Destroy White Supremacy!

One extremist group mentioned in the message posted a couple of articles about Paul; they were posted with reference to the author as a ‘NEGROID”.

As noted in the announcement, Ron Paul has a documented history of associating with and promoting white supremacist ideology. In the 1980′s and 1990′s Paul published a series of newsletters written in the first person and published under his name that contained explicit racist, homophobic and antisemitic sentiment.

The New Republic article linked above provides a category and chronological breakdown of the horrors of the Ron Paul “close.”  There was a time when politicians like Paul were much more upfront about their beliefs and ideals, and yes their hatred of people.  Paul remains as old school as life 1950 /1960s back through hundreds of years of US history. He attempts to hide his social persona much like the olden days Ku Klux Klan hid themselves behind hoods and masks.

Ron Paul?  Should come out of the ‘closet’, admit his support groups and live like those with which he associates.  Then and only then it will be interesting to see if his very young and energetic sycophants continue to worship. Even if elected President Paul could never legalize pot or heroin, He will never be able to bring every military troop to our boards, and he would have major problems disbanding the very agencies of which he shows so much contempt.

Anonymous and Operation Blitzkrieg? In my opinion, their efforts are as noble as any I have seen in many years of reading about hate groups. It is hard for me to find fault in their mission, when the mission reaches to right the wrongs that seem to be growing as we move into the 21st Century.

Ron Paul: greatest threat to African-Americans, "imprisonment for drug charges".

In 10 Points of GOP Life, Election 2012, GOTP, Paul BIgot, Ron Paul, Ron Paul dangeroous on January 8, 2012 at 10:31 AM

How is this old man’s ‘clap-trap’ stereotyping any different than Santorum and Gingrich’s welfare ‘railing’?

Well, the Fact Checking starts.

Last evening, Ron Paul used the most ridiculously bigoted set of information in an ill-advised effort  to deflect issues about his racism, his shady past (news letter), his support from hard-core racist groups and his illogically ‘privileged’ obsession with property rights.  He stated imprisonment of African-Americans as the greatest example of US racism, reaching past the crux of US discrimination, bias and racism to declare his understanding  (better than anyone else on the stage mind you) of a problem that lingers across the nation.  Imprisonment, as a matter of fact, for drug offenses.  How so inanely stupid was his deflection?

As far back as 2009 research studies have relegated the bigoted and misinformed claim to ”FILE 13″. It does not surprise me that Paul would use such a weak argument to deflect his hidden racist network and his ‘money-grab’ racist writings. He really is a fringe-weirdo who uses the very same racial stereotypes as does Santorum and Gingrich to make points to their “……………” constituents.

Huffington Post is reporting on  Paul’s comments and linking to an April 2009 article on the topic.  Consider giving the article a read, it places Paul’s remarks squarely in the realm of misinformed. It is this very type of misinformation that helps GOP candidates win elections while at the same time having no basis in fact.

As I have always stated, the GOP hates facts and data!

Straight from the archives of their oft quoted ‘god’ of conservatism.

“Facts are stubborn things.” Ronald Reagan

Ron Paul comes closer to full admission

In Candy Crowley, CNN, Ron Paul on January 1, 2012 at 8:12 PM

Ron Paul

If you want to spend a few minutes listening to a rambling-babbling libertarian, sit for a moment and listen to this.

Is it possible to ask this man anything without a Sarah Palin like rambling diatribe. What did he actually say? He rambled from prison sentences to the Patriot Act, to property rights and on and on and on.  I will acknowledge that the CNN Clip ended after Paul’s diatribe and I am ill prepared to talk about what took place after the comments.  But, if Crowley did not probe more, she is as guilty as Fox News for furnishing softball questions.

Ron Paul is the darling of racist and bigoted organizations and websites for a reason. Those who hate solely based on race and religion do not waste their efforts with those who do not ’speak’ their language. Racist also have special talent in deciphering their underground code as effectively as code used by slaves and by Jim Crow African-Americans. How hard is it for someone to ask Paul about “property Right” as we considered the Jamie Hein, “Whites Only Pool” in Ohio?  A simple question. “Mr. Paul, are you aware of that signage and do you feel Hein was correct in her placement of the sign on a gate near the pool?

CNN Crowley and Paul, what a waste of 3 minutes.
The bottom-line is, if I was a millionaire or a pauper, Paul and Hein should be able to deny me access based on race.  Or, deny you access based on gender, or you because you are Catholic, or Jewish.  There-in lies the heart of Ron Paulism!
