The Vote
Eric Cantor (Tea Party) House Leader.

“This bill is designed to give people a hand when they need it most. Most people don’t choose to be on food stamps. Most people want a job,” said House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) “Most people want to go out and be productive so that they can earn a living, so that they can support a family, so that they can have hope for a more prosperous future. They want what we want.”

Cantor’s comments and the vote are as they are. Cantor is a sham politician who earns $196,000 per year as House Majority Leader. Let’s adjust the last sentence. We pay Cantor $196,000 per year. The vote count is as is, but we do not understand the five Democratic “No” Votes.

You and I know Fox News.

If that statement is true, you know, as do I, Fox news is about entertainment for people who crave a daily dose of conservative ‘red meat’ (.e.g., sexism  racism, bigotry, jingoism and homophobia). If we know the business model at Fox, the following interchange should be of no surprise. Sean Hannity interviewed a misogynist and progressive Fox News contributor.
Hang-on a second, let’s visit another interchange involving a sexist/racist/misogynist who is not a multi-millionaire Fox News entertainer.

Earlier this year at the CPAC “craziness”, a Tea Party group sponsored an event on “How to handle being called a racist when you know you are not“. Of course, with a black conservative facilitator.  Wow! How about a session on “What did you do that would make a person call you a racist. The GOP and conservatives do not think along those lines.

The Tea Party gathering replete with noted black facilitator drew avowed racist group as surely as flies are drawn to dog feces.  The resultant interchange illustrated root fissures of the Tea Party that reach into white supremacy.  We are linking the interchange not as a statement against the young man as a racist, our interest is in his remarks to a woman in the audience (a conservative black woman).
