CNN’s Smerconish SCHOOLS Tea Party For Falsely Labeling Affordable Care Act “Socialist” (VIDEO)

Last night at the close of his show, new CNN host Michael Smerconish discussed his own personal experience with the Affordable Care Act, and blasted the Tea Party campaign to falsely label the act as “socialism,” something that it is clearly not.

Smerconish is widely known as a ex staunch Republican who once worked for George H.W. Bush, but after a life time of voting Republican he supported Barack Obama in 2008. He currently defines himself as fierce Independent, and hosts a thought-provoking show on Sirius Radio’s POTUS channel in which he routinely demonstrates that independence be being both supportive and critical of Obama’s policies.

He closed Tuesday night’s show by reading Merriam Webster’s definition of the term “Socialist,”

noun \ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\

a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies

He then quoted actual Socialist Greg Parsons, the National Secretary of the Socialist Party USA, who told had earlier Smerconish;

“The ACA Program relies on private health Insurance companies to manage health services. A socialized system would not include “health insurance,” but would be an actual national health care system which would be publicly funded through progressive taxation and controlled by democratically elected assemblies of health care workers and patients.

Of course, any time the FOX News watching sheeple get taken to school, it’s glorious to watch. Still to be determined is if they will ever figure out that they are being lied to on a nightly basis.
