Fox News and Marco Rubio Go "Free Stuff"

In "free stuff" Marco Rubio and Fox & Friends., Debate professionalism and civility vs debate circus act, GOP 2016, GOP debate, http://schemas.google.com/blogger/2008/kind#post on October 14, 2015 at 9:58 AM

Free Stuff….?

Check out an interesting meme after last night’s first class and mature debate. The GOP has held two debates and in each case the circus has been transformed into a Donald Trump media event with occasional machismo for one Marco Rubio, religious bigotry from Huckabee and twilight zone nonsense from the increasingly inane Ben Carson. Also let’s not forget “I am lost” stuff from Jeb “My brother kept us safe” Bush and political ghosts via Rand Paul and Chris Christie.

Missing from the meme is the poignant statement from Bernie Sanders regarding the removal of the upper crust Social Security Tax Cap. Americans who earnings exceed $118,000 per year stop paying Social Security payroll taxes when their earnings hit that figure.  Utter ridiculous, when you have some GOP candidates speaking of cutting Social Security benefits.

Rubio: Dem Debate Was Just ‘Who Was Going to Give Away the Most Free Stuff

Marco Rubio
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio was not a fan of Tuesday’s Democratic debate, telling Fox & Friends the following morning that the candidates’ ideas were outdated and stale.

Rubio said the biggest threat to Hillary Clinton‘s candidacy was her “outdated ideas… if you watched that debate last night it looked like something from the early ’80s. It was basically a liberal vs. liberal debate about who was going to give away the most free stuff.”

“Free college education, free college education for people illegally in this country, free health care, free everything,” he continued. “Their answer to every problem in America is a government program and a tax increase. That’s all they prescribe time and time again.”
“This is stuff from the ’80s, the mid ’80s, and we’re back there,” Rubio concluded. “As I said before the debate, it became exactly what I predicted it would be: a race to the left to see who’d be the most radically liberal, the most big government. And that’s what this whole primary is going to be for the Democratic side.”
