Trump Mocks!
…AND THEN THEY CAME FOR ME……

If you read hear from time to time, you know we often use the famous Martin Niemoller prose and verse, “FIRST THEY CAME FOR THE SOCIALISTS…” as an analogy for what we are increasingly seeing from conservative America.

If by chance you are unfamiliar of the prose read the following and think deeply about the insidious nature of oozing fascism that can easily lead to more dire and dangerous social movement (i.e. Nazism).

Holocaust Encylopedia

MARTIN NIEMÖLLER: “FIRST THEY CAME FOR THE SOCIALISTS…”

Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Finally, a candidate for the GOP 2016 nomination has conjured up sufficient grit  to go after Donal Trump, the modern day GOP fascists, via a political ad that leaves the a warning as clearly as Niemoller’s prose. In fact, the ad was developed with Niemoller’s prose as the message building block.

Sadly, Trump is favored by GOP supporters, and that speaks poorly of American conservatism.
