Ohio As A Battle Ground Against GOP Voter Suppression

Norman Rockwell’s rendition of the struggle!

The following video segment is critical.  Ed Schultz ran the segment last night, and it should reverberate across the nation. Of course, it won’t reverberate because so many have grown nonchalant about grow GOP strategy and efforts to deny the Constitutional right to vote to African-American, Latino, certain of the elderly and college students the right to vote. Did you notice anything commonly share among the stated demographics? They are historic Democratic voting blacks. When you add collective bargaining (and public service workers) you find the full measure of Americans who are targets of GOP efforts to stifle the vote.

Regardless of your politics, regardless of your social views, and regardless of your position in life, you have to recognize the unfairness and indecency of restricting the votes as such. Regardless of how you feel about people depicted in the video, you cannot deny, efforts to deprive of a Constitutional right is disgusting.  Do you really want a party running the nation that would resort to such underhanded and UN-American tactics?……

If you follow the news and current events, you know there are a few whacked-out conservative talking heads who have stated women should not have the right to vote.  A couple of those talking heads are women

Schumer On Morning Joe, Stands Like A True Democrat

In Kochs, Morning Joe Show, MSNBC, Tea Party on April 7, 2014 at 9:59 PM

Chuck Schumer on The Morning Joe Show

“The Koch brothers aren’t just sitting there innocently on the side,” Schumer said. “They’re spending $40, $50 million in ads that are not focused on their real agenda, which is just eliminating all regulation on corporations, cutting taxes to virtually nothing. And so that demands a response. So I don’t feel sorry for them.”

Despite Joe Scarborough’s conservatism, I once started each weekday with my television sets on The Morning Joe Show. After a couple of years of close scrutiny, after an ad campaign that validated a sort of serious ego trip (The Abbey Road commercials,) and major groveling to Scarborough from Mika Brezinski and Chief Groveler Will Geist, my viewing habits took a 180 degree turn.

And, then there was this. The video is obviously from  a handheld device as it moves and rolls a while the sound quality is not good. Linked.

And, this during a Scarborough attack against the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney via use of the “F” Word. Linked.

As a conservative MSNBC franchise that garners $100,000 per week to the Scarborough, the show is certainly run with a focus of a slightly more professional platform than Fox and Friends.

The perfect characterization of Joe Scarborough and his “embarrassingly superficial” perspective on Israel/Palestine as well stated by Dr. Zbigniew Brezenski. Linked. (50 second mark to 1:20 mark).

On March 6th, 2014, Scarborough launched into “lovefest” over the Koch brothers while soliciting back-up from his Chief Groveler.  Scarborough rattled off a short list of “great things” the Kochs have done for New York City, the Arts and faded his comments into a pitch-off to Geist. See the 1:40 mark until Scarborough, buoyed by his groveling crew, launches into Harry Reid’s characterization of the Kochs as “UN-American.”
After the “good for America” co-joined attack from the Morning Joe crew, with Wille labeling Reid’s “addicted to Koch” as beneath the office, Joe turns to the guest “blue-dog” Harold Ford with indicting remarks in support of the Kochs. How much could MSNBC possibly pay Ford to sit quietly and take the obviously staged presentation from the Joe show crew?

Joe towards the end of the segment asked Ford about the characterization of being Un-American when you are with the majority of Americans.

I doubt very seriously if Joe can substantiate his assertion that most Americans support the political meandering, social meddling and money trail of the Kochs. Next, inviting Harold Ford on the show to sit as a ‘lashing; subject was as weak as it gets.  Ford has spoken on the Morning Joe Show in support of the Keystone XL Pipeline: a project the Kochs stand to gain billions upon completion and eventual production of Canadian Tar Sands. The show was a complete farce.

The Kochs unarguably support many causes. They provide funding for research, contribute to specific universities, and yes, they support the Arts (particularly in NYC).  We would be remiss if we presented from one perspective only. However, the MSNBC segment by design was overly biased and, frankly, almost sugary Saccharin(y) in its disregard for issues that affect large swaths of the population.

No one on the set even mentioned a few “UN-American” items from the Kochs. The brothers have funneled money through PACs and community organizations in support of segregation schools in North Carolina, and I have heard they are also working against public schools in a community in Michigan. If the Kochs are such great Americans as stated by Scarborough and his grovelers, why would they need a money tree such as this?

The following image shows the extent to which Koch money works to buy our elected officials.

Larger version

The brothers are the catalyst behind and a foundation for the Tea Party.  If you are not a hardcore conservative you know the Tea Party and you know what the movement has done to US politics. If you are well read and up on current events, you know the Kochs gave birth to the Tea Party and the genesis reaches well back past the election of Barack Obama.  Linked.
The New Yorker Magazine’s Jane Mayer published a piece in August 2010 from which WIKI extracted a relevant excerpt.

Jane Mayer article in The New Yorker In an article in the August 30, 2010 issue of the New Yorker, writer Jane Mayer wrote,

The Kochs are longtime libertarians who believe in drastically lower personal and corporate taxes, minimal social services for the needy, and much less oversight of industry – especially environmental regulation. These views dovetail with the brothers’ corporate interests. … Greenpeace issued a report identifying the company as a ‘kingpin of climate science denial.’ The report purported to show that, from 2005 to 2008, the Kochs vastly outspent ExxonMobil in giving money to organizations fighting legislation related to climate change, underwriting a huge network of foundations, think tanks, and political front groups. Indeed, the brothers have funded opposition campaigns against so many Obama Administration policies – from health-care reform to the economic-stimulus program – that, in political circles, their ideological network is known as the “Kochtopus.”
According to Mayer: “The Koch brothers are known for their strongly conservative politics and for their efforts to finance a network of advocacy groups whose goal is to move the country to the right.”[102]

Arrogance, Hubris And The Bush Henchmen: Cheney and Rumsfeld And A Case For war Cromes Tribunal!

In Iraq War, MSNBC, Steve Kornacki, Torture on April 6, 2014 at 5:43 PM

Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) sat (on camera) with Steve Kornacki, MSNBCUP, and provided a serious and level-headed approach to continued “double-down” yapping from dick Cheney about US torture in the Middle East. Cheney continues to speak about “he would do ti again.” I have to wonder if he would be so bold and brazen to go there if President elect Obama had followed the wishes of progressive Americans via authorizing Eric Holder’s Justice Department to perform a full and detailed accounting of Bush/Cheney’s ” False WMD and US Torture.”

From Cheney to Rumsfeld ……..

The WIP, The Case for Donald Rumsfeld’s Prosecution

ExcerptIn 2009, Manfred Nowak, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture, stated that there was already enough evidence to try former U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for war crimes. Nowak’s statement confirmed what human rights and legal organizations have been saying for several years, and spotlights one of the Bush administration’s most controversial decisions regarding the use of torture.

Nowak’s statement followed a bipartisan Senate Arms Services Committee investigation made public in December. In scathing and unequivocal terms, the investigation revealed that Rumsfeld and other high-ranking administration officials, including former National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, bore major responsibility for detainee abuse by American troops at Abu Ghraib in Iraq; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and other military detention centers.

The abuse was not the result of only a few soldiers acting on their own, but the consequence of interrogation policies approved by Rumsfeld and other top officials who “conveyed the message that physical pressures and degradation were appropriate treatment for detainees.”

The use of torture in Guantánamo, Afghanistan and Iraq has a long history. On Dec. 2, 2002, following a request by Guantanamo officials that additional techniques beyond those in the U.S. Army field manual be approved for use, Rumsfeld authorized new interrogation policies for Guantanamo, including placing prisoners in “stress positions,” hooding detainees for 20-hour interrogations, exploiting phobias to induce stress, sensory deprivation, and isolation.

These techniques were later used in Afghanistan and Iraq. Complaints of abuses at Guantanamo by FBI officials to the Defense Department in December 2002 were disregarded. According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), in January of 2003 senior officers of the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) office repeatedly objected to interrogation techniques used at Guantanamo, but “Pentagon officials ‘didn’t think this was a big deal, so they just ignored the JAG.”

There has to be some form of justice for a time when American crusaded for the simple sake of crusading!

The Ed Show: A Double Feature "Chatanooga VW Union Vote And Keystone XL A Personal Story"

In MSNBC on April 4, 2014 at 5:32 PM

A partnership selling used cars without
even a windshield on the car!

On February 13th 2014, Bernie Woodall Reuters, reported (along with many other media) on Republican Bob Corker’s assurances that a “NO” union vote at the Chattanooga Volkswagen Assembly Plant would “assure” the probability of yer another VW  (SUV) product at the facility.  How would you vote, if you heard that from your US Senator?  While, some would question the Senator’s remarks for various reasons, most assembly employees would opt for continued and longer term assembly options: JOB Security.

Corker Wednesday April 2, 2014….

He said, “I’ve had conversations today and based on those am assured that should the workers vote against the UAW, Volkswagen will announce in the coming weeks that it will manufacture its new mid-size SUV here in Chattanooga.”

On February 15, 2014 Reuters reported….

The loss, 712 to 626, capped a sprint finish to a long race and was particularly surprising for UAW supporters, because Volkswagen had allowed the union access to the factory and officially stayed neutral on the vote, while other manufacturers have been hostile to organized labor.

Corker after the vote….

After Volkswagen express dismay with the union vote, my curiosity was seriously piqued.  Apparently, Volkswagen has integrated forms of collectivism production models and employee support programs into their very effective and high quality manufacturing systems. Collective bargaining is an integral part of their auto productions!

As I recall watching the shifty and sly corker over time, I will admit to the thought he had inside information from VW. I felt he was assured by VW a “NO” United Auto Workers vote would “assure” the prospect of a new SUV assembly line (In Chattanooga, TN.).

I now stand self-chastised for underestimating he GOP/conservative mind and operating methods. Corker’s assurance did not come from Volkswagen!

The following segment is a 15:08 minute run.  I know, no one has the time for such long segments. That is the very thinking that feeds the mentality that drives people to the propaganda and lies on Fox News or to the reality show segments on CNN (If one can get passed the ratings laden MH370 tragedy). If you want to know just how the GOP works, Ed Schultz adds to our pantry of garbage and malfeasance against the GOP.

Wouldn’t you know it!

Feature Two

The following segment relates to the pending developments of the Keystone XL Pipeline.  Ed traveled to the a region where the pipeline will traverse Native Original American land reported to have treaty considerations. The US has a horrid history of honoring treaties with Native American. Will President Obama fail to reverse that history and deny the pipeline’s path across our western states.

This one for President Obama.

I hope the president is listening!

The Land Of OZ And The Horror Of Racism

In L. Frank Baum, MSNBC on March 26, 2014 at 4:40 PM

The power of the (communication) message doesn’t go unnoticed as we watch America’s social and political Right work to shape a nation in its likeness. Communication is a innate and incredible gift to human beings. The gift is often an influencing a propaganda tool of people skilled in delivering messages of fear, indifference intolerance and messages that do great harm. While you may think our society is well beyond that you are about to read, slow-down and think about how tragedy need not end in the ultimate act of death. Tragedy also has reality in deprivation. And, deprivation erodes the human spirit such that it can actually place people in states of servitude that is deleterious and dangerous to the greater society.

The lovely and heart-warming story of Dorothy, her clinging troupe (The Lion, The Tin-Man and The Scare Crow) and the Kansas tornado has roots in evil with fissures that point to the gifted communicator as a Shepard of the evil. A communicator who may have manipulated like a skilled marionette.

The Land of Oz

L. Frank Baum
A beautiful memory for us all. An image of and from our childhood and a reminders of the awe of movie-making and television. When accompanied by the fanciful innocence of youth and the enormous youthful power of imagery, the creative work from the mind of L. Frank Baum and his gift of writing prose affected us all.

I doubt there is a person in the nation who was not in some way influenced by exposure to Baum’s Land of Oz. Furthermore, I am confident we can extrapolate knowledge of the Land of Oz to people across the globe.

How about a circa 2014  high definition image of the road to Oz? A road that becomes a ‘yellow brick” road as Oz draws near.

Oz: Great and Powerful

The beauty and imagery of OZ may have a basis in pure horror and shame. We offer an intriguing perspective. A perspective heard many years ago and simply filed into the old gray matter. Upon seeing a broadcast of MSNBC earlier today, the gray matter regurgitated the information.

There was a side of my brain that refused to accept what you are about to read. The information was compartmentalized in a “forget me” file, never to be reenacted via recall. Baum may have provided facilitating written treatises about genocide against a band of Original Native Americans. He wrote with fiery hatred and racism about the remnants of the great Lakota Sioux Nation. His writings also may have salted the minds of people willing to listen to the railings of a racist to send the Lakota to a final resting place for hundreds of women and children. The Wounded Knee Massacre occurred on December 29, 1890,[4] near Wounded Knee Creek (Lakota: Čhaŋkpé Ópi Wakpála) on the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the U.S. state of South Dakota. It  is well known scourge of US History and became known to millions based on movies through our recent past. ( Lakota Woman, Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee-HBO Films, The Tragedy At Wounded Knee 17 minute documentary).

Many have written about Baum’s deep racist writings, which for some in Manifest Destiny America may have helped to rationalize unrestrained killing of men, women and children.

We certainly cannot confidently report that Baum’s racist writings and blood thirst was the deciding factor in the Wounded Knee Massacre. On the other hand, we can confidently say his writings may very well have been a contributing factor.

Communication to sympathetic ears has major impact. Do you recall the disparaging phrases broadcast across radio waves and loud speakers as the genocide in Rwanda was perpetrated, “Cockroaches, kill the Cockroaches.”  Need I remind you of how Joseph Goebbels portrayed the Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and minorities as the Third Reich conquered greater Europe?

“Why Not Annihilation?” L. Frank Baum.

Before the Massacre

The Sitting Bull editorial (Aberdeen Saturday Pioneer, December 20, 1890)

L. Frank Baum’s (Wizard of OZ Author) Editorial on the Sioux (Lakota) Nation

About a week prior to the slaughter at Wounded Knee (1890), L.Frank Baum, editor of South Dakota’s Aberdeen Saturday Pioneer in an editorial wrote:

” The nobility of the Redskin is extinquished and what few are left are a pack of whining curs who lick the hand that smites them. The whites by law of conquest, by justice of civilization, are masters of the American continent, and the best safety of the frontier settlements will be secured by the total annihilation of the few remaining Indians.(WHY NOT ANNIHILATION?)Their glory has fled, their spirit broken, their manhood effaced, better they should die than live the miserable wretches that they are.” .L. FRANK BAUM (author of THE WIZARD OF OZ )

After the Massacre

The Wounded Knee editorial (Aberdeen Saturday Pioneer, January 3, 1891)

JUNE 26-28, 2004
L. Frank Baum: Racist
Indian-Hating in “The Wizard of Oz”

If you visited the NPR link just above, you either heard or read the descendant family of Baum apologizing for his racism.  Well, as I often state the (act of) apology is nothing more than words offered far too late when proper behavior would have eliminated the need to go there. Apologies from Baum’s relatives can do nothing to reconnect the DNA and bloodline of the slaughtered. Their words cannot reach back in time to stop the senseless killing of Lakota generations from children through the elderly.

The American people must carefully watch, scrutinize and question growing plutocracy from the Right. It is a fact the nation is probably resilient enough to deal with far-right leaning governance. While our past reflects on the horrors of such governance, we weathered the storm. Nonetheless, we have to stay diligent in recognizing the social and the political Right of today; it is not the Right of Ronald Reagan. It is not a Right that respects people with opposing views. It is the Right of Fox News and AM Radio with daily feedings of hatred and fear broadcast primarily to older white listeners and viewers. It is a Right backed my uber wealthy plutocrats who spend billions working to establish and instill a form of US oligarchy. A form of government where you and I may not face genocide, but we could very well become mindless “Stockholm Syndrome” droning hordes divided into economic wherewithal, races, gender and sexual orientation class groupings. Groupings that could stand rigid until the passing of time completes inevitable erosion. Groupings and society controlled by people that occupy one racial demographic: the Paleozoic Era conservative white male. A demographic that refuses to step outside of his aquatic (comfortable) paradigm for life on the shore. Life with much more opportunity for thriving and passing-on a better life to those who will follow.

Increasing exhibitions of bigotry and racism tend to draw the mind back to Baum and his careless and horrific writings. And, as I think of Baum and his over-the-top exaltation of “the whites”, I am reminded of my often quoted “House of OZ.”

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Aid To Ukraine Could Depend on GOP "Scratch My Back?"

The ObamaCare "Death Spilral?"

In ACA, Chris Hayes, MSNBC on March 24, 2014 at 1:49 PM

You are about to view a quick video of Right-wing hope  laden reporting of of the ACA failure. Before, you either get your “hopes up” or “grow anger” based on the last sentence, I remind the sentence includes words such s “right-wing hopes and reporting.” That simply means, you have right-wing media (Fox News) and highly compensated right-wing pundits railing about the demise of ObamaCare, and you can read “HOPE” into their aura and their words.

The following is a prime example; you will see more with the MSNBC segment embed below.

A CBS Executive we expect
to see on Fox News real soon.
She left CBS and has commented
about CBS’s lack of interest in
pursuing Benghazi, the alleged
IRS Scandal and other Obama

Ms. Attkinson calls CBS a bunch of cowards. Now, that depicts a serious disregard of the commonly accepted “Do not bash a former employer” at the very highest level. Obama Derangement Syndrome is, for some chronic.

We are going to cut to the chase with this piece. As we move closer to the Affordable Care Act 2014 deadline, the political Right, especially right-wing media is boiling over with “poo-poo” comments and rhetoric about how the ACA is failing.

It appears Right-wing media has been given new “lockstep” mantra for salting the minds of those who either wish the ACA to go away, or for those who are still on the fence regarding its worthiness. The new mantra is: “death spiral.”
So, the ACA is on a death spiral. We have embed an MSNBC ALL IN piece (below) with a well-developed intro of right-wing talking heads using the new mantra like air spewing air gushing from a balloon pricked with a safety pin.

First, let’s do what high-information people do; we look at information or data for a true representation of facts. Facts tend to relegate rhetoric and mantra to the level of inane noise.

Charles Gaba (as he refers to himself) has published and maintains a detailed tracking of the ACA since its October 2013 “flawed” rollout. Gaba’s work is detailed and in spots exhaustive, but for sake or information and facts, his work is exemplary and very appreciated.

  • QHP (Qualified health Plans)
  • Sub26ers (Enrollments under age 26 on family plans)
  • Medicaid/Chip (Meciaid Expansion and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
  • Exchanges (state-based system of health insurance exchanges)
Private QHPs (4.92M – 6.30M
Medicaid/CHIP (4.47M – 6.17M
Sub26ers (2.50M – 3.10M)

Grand Total as of March 22, 2014: (11.9 M – 15.6 M)

Enrollment Period Elapsed: 94.5%
Est. % of CBO QHP Projection: 78.1% (or 91.1%)

Current 3/31 Exch. QHP Projection (raw numbers): March: 1.96M / Total: 6.20M

Current Exch. QHPs as of 3/22: March: 1.24M / Total: 5.46M

Exchange-based QHPs should hit 5.5 Million sometime Sunday, March 23

The Graph as of 3/19/2014

I do not see a “sprial.”  I see major increases in enrollment as time passes. While unwritten in Gaba’s work, I also see the fact that Republican State govenrors are denying medicaid expansion thus depriving millions of people (constituents)  medical coverage. I also see the denial of ACA Exchanges in many GOP States, again hampering or denying enrollment and coverage to millions.

A closer look at the “spiral. I labored to find an opportunity to edit the following video after the first few minutes: I was not successful. The host and guest discussion after the detail laden intro is typical point-counter-point dialog that we see each and every day.

March 18, 2014, Chris Hayes, ALL IN, and the “anti-death spiral” hope from the Right.

While the Right seethes and falsely predicts, the ACA moves towards serving the needs of people and towards the betterment of a nation. Remember, conservatives also fought FDR and Social Security and Medicare. We must also never forget the pundits in the video are all highly compensated, and you can rest assured have medical coverage.

Ari Melber, MSNBC: Paul Ryan’s "Inner Cities"

In MSNBC on March 23, 2014 at 9:36 PM

I am having major withdrawal moving away from Paul Ryans ill-advised yet revealing comments to Bill Bennett on Morning America. Since, the withdrawal is not defeated, I will satiate my addiction with a bit more scrutiny of Ryan’s inner psyche  and the inner core of his GOP.

As you listen and watch Ari Melber, MSNBC, it is important to keep in mind, Ryan is the GOP’s House of Representatives budget Guru.  He fills a key positions via a party that was handed the 2010 mid-term elections. Ryan is not an economics, he doesn’t pretend to be an economist.  In fact, possessing a degree or advanced training in economists isn’t a job description requirement for the position he fills. However, the competent professional would accomplish much more  research fact-finding if they held such a key position. While there is also no written requirements for the incumbent to practice fair and unbiased budget administration, we have grown to expect such in key federal congressional positions. Well, the GOP (again) operates and administers quite differently than most Americans. The party would stuff a young derriere vacuum (butt-sucker) into the position based on knowledge he would do the bidding of party leaders and non-elected mega wealthy money-brokers.

Ari Melber dissected and eviscerated Ryan’s “inner cities” code as pure schmooze for Bennett’s radio audience. I remain very disappointed with media (Left leaning especially) avoiding going after Ryan’s evoking Charles Murray’s racist existentially as a buddy of Bill Bennett. Mr. Gardner attended the town-hall meeting and courageously and appropriately address the GOP tool (Ryan). Mr. Gardner provided Ryan an opportunity to weasel-out of his dipping a toe into GOP racism via providing various ethic groups as denizens of the inner city. Well, the fact is Ryan used inner cities as code; people who want to back him out of his use of code should call him where it is most relevant and with all angles explored. Media is not getting that done.

This is a man who could have been vice president of the United States. He had a running mate who as of this week has self-proclaimed he would have provided an aura that would have led to Putin not taking Crimea. These people should be called-out for politicking  and their lies while being held accountable for all to see.

Ari Melber and the MSNBC team broadcast a fact based exposition on the fallacy and phoniness of Paul Ryan.  It looks as if we will have to keep the procedure on regrading his affinity for Ayn Rand and Charles Murray.

Need say no more!

Chris Christie: Back As The "Bully"(Video)

In Chris Christie, Ed Schultz, MSNBC on March 19, 2014 at 9:37 PM

Chris Christie cannot actually expect to live his entire life as a bully and expect good things to repose at the end of the path.

As Christie draws his friendly town-hall crowds, he is also now drawing New Jersey residents who are concerned about gubernatorial criminal activity malfeasance.

Read more after break below

Now, let’s see Christie and the GOP at its most common. As you listen to the New Jersey bully, think back to the GOP Right’s Principles as paid disruptors attended Democrat healthcare reform town hall meetings. The paid GOP disruptors did exactly what Christie lays at the feet of New Jersey public service workers.

Christie projects GOP strategy to the public service workers as well as any GOP functionary.

"Between Two Ferns" Obama Derangement! How very silly!

In Fox News, MSNBC, Rachel Maddow on March 14, 2014 at 6:04 PM

AP Photo / David Zalubowski

President agrees to join the Between The Ferns show for delivery of a critical message about the Affordable Care Act, his appearance led to millions visiting the ACA site and, of course “Stiff-Necked Fools” (Bob Marley Lyrics) and Fox News went “deranged.”
The stiffest of the all, David Gergen, joined Bill O’Reilly and Fox News et al., in showing how conservative America would shape the nation. And, frankly, they are lying.

What I personally care about David Gergen could fit on the action tip of a sewing needle with enough room for sharing the tip with Chris Christie. While running for the presidency in 2008, I watched and heard Gergen criticize candidate Obama for not standing tall and fighting on certain issues. The very moment candidate Obama moved to more confrontation as the election neared, Gergen was there on CNN mumbling through a comments about how Obama’s actions were not presidential.

Talking Points Memo on Gergen

TPM LIVEWIREAs Expected, Obama’s ‘Ferns’ Interview Made CNN’s David Gergen Uncomfortable

(“Used with permission from the TPM websites, a service of TPM Media LLC.” )

If Gergen had his druthers, no president would ever appear on such a show. And the septuagenarian is certain there’s a better way for Obama to reach the kids.

Am no fan of presidents appearing on shows like Between Two Ferns. Obama has better ways to reach young about ACA.

Unimaginable that Truman, Ike, JFK, Reagan would appear on Between Two Ferns. They carefully protected majesty of their office.
It was a pretty predictable reaction from Gergen, who served as an adviser to four presidents and has been rhapsodizing about the majesty of the Oval Office ever since. The White House certainly saw it coming.
Shortly before the “Ferns” interview surfaced online, Obama spokesman Dan Pfeiffer joked that the bit might “give David Gergen a heart attack.”

Gergen in summary. “Who in hell anointed David Gergen in all of his conservatism, a barometric-caller and assessor on what is or is not presidential?”

Fox News?
Progressives and Liberals (and Left leaning Independents) know that Fox News has a mission. The network is the singular most visible purveyor of Right-wing dogma and communications. That means the network is about the business of propaganda without equal.

No, we do not agree MSNBC is an exact Left-leaning balance. Of course, we are biased to the Left (big-time), but we are also fair. If we consider the extent of lies from Fox and the extent of apologies for wrong information from MSNBC, we need not indulge in further consideration.
If you need additional points to ponder, consider the flak from the Right regarding President Obama’s appearance on the “Between Two Ferns” Show. Fox News executives, managers, producers and visible millionaire hosts all know every president since Truman has partaken if some form of public humor.  The introduction of home television with associated (and requisite) cameras virtually ensured humorous television appearances from the White House. It is impossible Fox News (And David Gergen of CNN) would not know of exhibits you will see in the following Rachel Maddow Show segment. If we accept either they have to know of past humorous performances out of the White House or their refuse to research prior to developing news stories, the only conclusion in their Two Ferns derangement: propaganda.
