The Daily GOP Ignominious: Fox News Gives UCONN The "NAACP Championship" As Mimicked by SNL

In Fox News, The Daily GOP Ignominious on April 9, 2014 at 1:03 AM

When Media imitates satire, media fails even if via a slip. Freudian Slips can be very telling.
It is truly amazing when a network as “powerful” (according to Megyn Kelly) manages to stumble as much as Fox News.  It is so amazing MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow’s team of producers, writers and production staff developed a 60 second non-hosted segment that speaks volumes about the cable network on the  far Right.

We published a piece earlier today related to the latest Fox News stumble.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest!

In Fox News, The Daily GOP Ignominious on April 5, 2014 at 1:23 AM

…And at the core of it all: Fox News and gun rightist!
Conservative America is not conservative America of old. I can recall a time when it took hours and reams of paper, and eventually many web pages to develop screeds and pieces sufficient for illustration of the scope and breadth of complete buffoonery of modern day conservatism.

Of late, the Grand Ol Party and its communications division (Fox News and AM Radio) have coupled with various and asunder paid whacked-out talking (highly compensated) heads to form a chasm of the unbelievable. Unbelievable, if one actually seeks accurate reporting of current events, intellectual point-counter-point political positions, or for that matter, heavily biased positions. Today heavily biased from Fox News and Am radio is like seeking relics of endanfgered species at the city zoo.  Right-wing media moved well beyond heavily biased the moment Barack Obama defeated John McCain and Sarah Palin in 2008.

The video segments that flow are representative of why, now-a-days, many writers on the Left can simply embed video, let the video run and the rest is up to your sensibilities or lack there of.  If what you are about to see and hear strikes you as believable and readily assimilates into your cognitive processes, then be well entertained. If the video you are about to see strikes you as yet another repulsive example of the crassness and demeaning level of reporting and punditry from the Right, think of what life will be if these people take over the US Senate and the US Presidency.

Media as you are seeing today will become well crafted in support and maintenance federal policy and practice that will blend very well with the essence of the following video.

Now watch pure manipulation of people who sit on a daily basis and absorb the fodder.

The subjects in each segment are people with well developed levels of intelligence. They know better, yet they work for millions spewing Right-wing propaganda and Obama Derangement as if feeding chickens in a backyard chicken coup.

Enjoy if you are inclined. If you are so inclined rest assured you can find these people on other web sites and on the previously mentioned media. You have no need to visit the TPI. If you enjoy!

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Fox News …..Doocy, Hannity, Kelly And Fox New et al.

In Megyn Kelly, The Daily GOP Ignominious, The Raw Story on April 3, 2014 at 5:47 PM

Fox News follows its business model while clearly feeding its hordes of sycophants. The network has deployed a Obama is responsible for the Fort Hood shooting programming schedule. Sean Hannity borrowed the Bill O’Reilly “color commentation” model by booking the GOP’s number two maniac from former congressman Allen West. Nothing like booking a black man to speaking insanely about the black president.

The Raw Story provides another perspective. I am going to go slightly out of character and say, the Fox News host pictured via The Raw Story is a former Washington DC “weather guy” (non-meteorologist) and he is well placed as a major idiot on the network of idiots.

‘Fox & Friends’ finds Obama ‘responsible’ for Ft. Hood shooting within first 24 hours (via Raw Story )

Since Fox has gone on a mission with Anti-Obama feed for its red meat ravish viewers, we may as well include Megyn Kelly’s latest foray into matters of race.

As you view the following, try to think if you have ever heard anyone employed by Fox News refer to perpetrator as having a “white sounding” name. No matter the answer, it is impossible to deny Kelly again enacted racially charged lingo for her audience. Of course, you do not need a reminder of Kelly’s past regarding racially charged broadcasts, but let’s “go there.”

II. Kelly responds with a fake address to Mom, Dad and the Kids. What kids are watching Kelly at 10:00PM EST?  How shallow and deceitful in effort to cover Kelly’s obvious racial paradigms.

Watch as TPM Livewire provides a 32 second video of Kelly rather poor reading through her prompter a, drawing an admirable line on not enunciating the name of the Fort Hood shooter. She even took a snip at the Fox News show that preceded her show as a “name giver.”  You will notice the 32 second video stops shy of her clear and focused efforts to label the shooter as having a “Hispanic or Latino” sounding name.”

Megyn Kelly Won’t Name Ft. Hood Shooter, But Is Fine With Describing His Ethnicity (VIDEO)

http://bcove.me/p6hj6kl9

TOM KLUDT – APRIL 3, 2014, 10:50 AM

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly took a stand against naming the soldier who opened fire at Fort Hood on Wednesday, but she didn’t have a problem dropping an ethnic description of the shooter.

Kelly opened her show on Wednesday night with an explanation of her show’s policy.

“Authorities are identifying the shooter. If you are interested you can get his name on other shows, like the one that preceded this one and online, but we have decided not to name these mass killers as a policy here on the ‘Kelly File,’” Kelly said.

She stuck to the policy later in the program, but casually offered a description of the suspect based on his name.

“The nationality of the shooter, it sounds Hispanic, Latino, but you can look up his name online,” Kelly said.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Those Are Projection Numbers! "Man that is dense as fruitcake."

The following exchange occurred between me and this African American Conservative Stanley (last name omitted by The Pardu to avoid over exposure) on my friend Madge D. Owens Wall in regards to the following chart. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up!

Stanley XXXX– Man your “facts” even have problems. You show a chart of projections, not actual numbers. Man that is dense as fruitcake.

Eric Smith– So these numbers are “projections”, huh Stanley? You are saying that these numbers are projected to occur in the future (that’s what a projection is Stanley) even though these men were presidents in the past and you accuse me of being dense? Damn! ROFFLMAO!!!!!!!!

Do you see the problem with shallowness? What we have here is a person so immersed in conservative ideology and so consume with differentiating himself from others who see through GOP B/S, he makes a super stupid flub. Of course, we have to consider that person was moving fast and paid little attention to that to which he commented.  OK, if it makes you feel better for me to go there I will do so, but I will do so only with you agreement of considering the following.

Why not accept my premise that these people live in a shallow world where deep thinking and information supported knowledge simply does not exist.  They thrive off the quick hit, surface half-assimilation of information often handed to them by “playbook”/”lockstep” marching orders from GOP operatives.

Even if the person (Stanley above) only had a second of two to assimilate the images above, he surely should have recognized the faces of past US presidents!  If Stanley was over consumed with Obama Derangement, he should have noticed the object of his scorn (President Obama) was not depicted.

Now, what you have here is typical GOP ignominious. These people are the very reason Fox News has such high viewership and Rush Limbaugh continues to fulfill the performance requirements of his multi-million dollar contract. The person is the epitome of why we have media now speaking about the GOP taking over the US Senate.  They are people who allow others to fill their brains with mantra, B/S and propaganda.  And, then they traipse to the voting booths and vote for people like McCain/Palin or Romney/Ryan. Or, and much more obviously they troll around social media seeking opportunity to throw “poop” on all things Obama.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Andrew Napolitano, Fox News Idiot!

In Conservative media, Fox News, Slavery, The Daily GOP Ignominious on March 12, 2014 at 4:08 PM

The Daily Show, Napolitano, and conservative idiocy.

Last night, Tuesday March 11, 2013, Jon Daily sat with Fox News’s Andrew Napolitano. The psychical revamped alleged judge (a Fox News staple), has carved out a niche in American society that is only acceptable and understandable when we add Fox News to the mix. Napolitano is an anti-Abe Lincoln(ite) who has issues with Lincoln’s efforts to end slavery and how slavery came to an end.
My knowledge of Lincoln does not support the prospect that I take an  exception to Napolitano’s B/S, due to an affinity Civil War president. In fact, I have read Lincoln was factually a racist, but one who valued humanity and preservation of the Union beyond his personal social deficiencies. The man was not an abolitionist.

My issues with Napolitano align closely with the “neo-regressive racist rationalizers” who have proliferated like weeds since President Obama took office in 2009.
The judge came on to the Daily Show set with a handshake and a KISS. A loud over-the-top cheek kiss, certain to have been heard in Europeand Asia. His effort was such an obvious and cheap “setting the stage” strategy to soften or disarm the witty Stewart. What happens to the customary show of affinity via the ‘shoulder bump.‘ Even George W. Bush lays a shoulder in there from time to time.  I dread to think Napolitano was so wanting to avoid the appearance of anything common to progressives, he opted for a ‘worldwide’ kiss. If you think my assessment of a “disarming kiss” is a stretch, watch as the judge exhorts applause from a crowd, he obviously felt might not welcome. His exhorting arm movements were comparable to football players on the sidelines exhorting the crows for noise while the opposing team is on offense.  Therein lies the phony kiss; typical conservative shallow.
He then moves to asinine rationale for being anti-Lincoln by commenting about how slavery was “dying a natural death.”  Never has a highly paid mouth-piece spoke so callously and far-off base.   There isn’t a person alive or archived in history who can, or could have, accurately state the death of slavery via natural death.  Early US capitalism was at the opposite end of that totally asinine and false reality. While, apparatus inventions (eg., The Cotton Gin) came to assist the agriculturally dependent US South, there is no way such apparatus could have provided large-scale physical labor. “No Pay” physical labor was literally the heart and core of southern mercantilism.  Is there a need to also address the purely heinous reality of slavery as commerce for many who earned a living via transport and trading in human bondage?
Finally, before the Stewart two part video, allow me to harshly state a couple more points. As stated above the Fox News “staple”, Napolitano, has simply craved out a niche that guarantees book sales, article and guest appearances (including a deep niche at the increasing racist Fox News). His use of slavery seems to denigrate the tragedy and seriousness of slavery in US History> His remarks certainly is over-the-top disrespectful to African-Americans with lineage and history rooted in slavery.  His use of slavery places him among a growing “neo-regressive racist rationalizers’ and places Napolitano squarely in the realm of white privilege for profit.

What is the point of his positions in the grand scheme of things? I fail to see the relevance beyond conservative affinity for slavery mantra. An ironic point as the party is most assuredly infested with bigots and racist, is supported by racist media (radio and TV) and has a membership that is 92% white. Moreover, conservative America and the GOP long for times pre-1950, the movement is noted for short-term thinking, strategy, and short-term memory. What is Napolitano’s point? I believe I answered the questions above.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Hannity and Guest: "Overfed’ blacks use food stamps as a ‘fat pill’

‘Overfed’ blacks use food stamps as a ‘fat pill’

Gavin McInnes

What you are about to see is the Fox News and conservative politicians followers of Fox News video segment comparable to the famous FDR “Let Me Warn You,” campaign speech that included comment about Republicanism. For Fox News, the clip is equal to, and held in as high regard, as the famous JFK Berlin Speech. I can actually envision Fox News management forcing staff to view the video once per month. When propaganda is your business, propaganda is critical to the purveyors of the business model message.

The Fox New Video Anthem

Fox News has made the young surfer free-loader as famous as Leonardo Di Caprio. It is truly pathetic for a network staffed with multi-millionaire on-air personalities and dedicated propagandist as staff, expend so much air-time and social inertia of misrepresentation a program that feeds so many Americans.

The latest propagandist to use the video is Sean Hannity.

The Raw Story published the following piece with guest, Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes.

Fox News guest tells Hannity: ‘Overfed’ blacks use food stamps as a ‘fat pill’ (via Raw Story )

Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes on Tuesday told Fox News host Sean Hannity not to demonize white people because it was the black Dominicans in New York who were abusing food stamps as a “fat pill.” During a panel discussion, Hannity asked his guests…

The welfare freeloader is reported to live with elderly relatives and we located by  Fox News via a friend.  He agreed to three days of taping (the sushi/lobster segment ) with hopes of publicity for his band. He claims to work over 40 hours per week advancing his band, but is simply unpaid as hie builds his career.

McInnes as a non-native American has views that fit the Fox News propaganda business model like a $2,000 pair of winter gloves.  He is a self-proclaimed “white-advantagist” (Stopping strategically shy of espousing white supremacy), but a clear proponent of the white race as privileged above other races.

As you read the The Raw Story piece do you recognize our use of the words “white-advantagist?”  Hannity and McInness skirted the precipice of overt “white-privilege” while full leveraging a form of Rick Santorum “Blah People.”

The quality of Fox News guests!

When Hannity invites people like McInnes to his show he knows the guest will feed his ravaging consumers of bigotry and racism with a slant towards Obama Derangement Syndrome. McInnes fed them very well. I could hear and smell the burps and belches of satiated conservatives who thrive off mis-perceptions about those who literally exist of SNAP program benefits. Keep in mind “exist” is a powerful word that has only one contrary realm: failure to exist. Some call it “death” or desperation that will lead to human behavior that manifest when people are about to starve to death.

A quick peep at Hannity’s guest.

Gavin McInnes (Wiki)

Controversial statements

He was featured in a 2003 New York Times article about Vice magazine expressing his political views.[17]
In an interview in the New York Press, McInnes said that he was pleased that most Williamsburg hipsters are white.[17] He has also been quoted as saying.

I love being white and I think it’s something to be very proud of … I don’t want our culture diluted. We need to close the borders now and let everyone assimilate to a Western, white, English-speaking way of life.[18]

McInnes later claimed that the interview was done as a prank intended to ridicule “baby boomer media like The Times” in a letter to Gawker. [19]
He became the focus of a letter-writing campaign by a black reader, and Vice apologized for McInnes’s comments.[17]
In October 2013, McInnes was interviewed by The Huffington Post as a panel about the meaning of masculinity, and said “people would be happier if women would stop pretending to be men,” and that feminism “has made women less happy.”[20]

Women are feigning that toughness. We’ve trivialized childbirth and being domestic so much that women are forced to pretend to be men. They’re feigning this toughness, they’re miserable.[21]

A heated argument followed when University of Miami law professor Mary Anne Franks responded, and McInnes in his reply loudly called her a “fucking idiot”.

A few SNAP facts from Feeding America Dot Org.

PROGRAM FACTS

SNAP is targeted at the most vulnerable.

76% of SNAP households included a child, an elderly person, or a disabled person. These vulnerable households receive 83% of all SNAP benefits.[i]
SNAP eligibility is limited to households with gross income of no more than 130% of the federal poverty guideline, but the majority of households have income well below the maximum:

83% of SNAP households have gross income at or below 100% of the poverty guideline ($19,530 for a family of 3 in 2013), and these households receive about 91% of all benefits.

61% of SNAP households have gross income at or below 75% of the poverty guideline ($14,648 for a family of 3 in 2013).[ii]

The average SNAP household has a gross monthly income of $744; net monthly income of $338 after the standard deduction and, for certain households, deductions for child care, medical expenses, and shelter costs; and countable resources of $331, such as a bank account.[iii]

Categorical eligibility has dramatically increased program participation.

The dramatic increase in SNAP participation and costs is a result of the recession, not categorical eligibility. Our nation has seen the highest unemployment rates in nearly 30 years.

SNAP participation historically follows unemployment with a slight lag. SNAP participation grew during the recession, responding quickly and effectively to increased need. As the number of unemployed people increased by 94% from 2007 to 2011, SNAP responded with a 70% increase in participation over the same period. [xxvi]

As the economy recovers and people go back to work, SNAP participation and program costs, too, can be expected to decline. Unemployment has begun to slowly fall, and SNAP participation growth has flattened out. The Congressional Budget Office projects SNAP participation to begin declining in 2015, with both unemployment and SNAP participation returning to near pre-recession levels by 2022.[xxvii]

A sidebar from the Feeding America link: The Obama Food Stamp experience was not caused by Obama. The current participation rates are due to the great (Bush/Cheney) Recession. And, rest assured Fox News managers, editors and on-air personalities know such.

Hannity and McInnes postulate and propagandize about a program that feeds millions across the American demographic spectrum. They use an “alleged” free-loader to attack a program that feeds children, the elderly and some military active duty families, as well as million of the unemployed, under-employed and temporary jobless.

Hannity is a shill for the GOP and conservative America. He practices his brand of politicking while empirical evidence points to SNAP as a life-sustaining program that feeds Americans from every walk of life. He is a bringer of conservative rhetoric and propaganda, while SNAP participation rates show Red State residents are major benefactors.

Map of US Counties with Rate of Participation in SNAP

In the map above, the shading of US counties from light to dark corresponds to the extent of participation in SNAP (number of beneficiaries per county ÷ total county population). In the areas with the lightest shading, less than 10% of the population is enrolled in SNAP. In the areas with the darkest shading, more than 30% of the population is enrolled. There’s an extensive area across the South where participation rate are above average. An area of highest participation rates extend from West Virginia, through eastern Kentucky into northeastern Tennessee. Another area is visible  along the Mississippi River from Arkansas and west Tennessee to Louisiana and Mississippi.  Smaller areas are found in parts of Alabama and Georgia.  These are mostly rural areas where the population density is low and the population is declining in some places due to the lack of economic opportunity.

Map of US Counties with Number of Participants in SNAP

Contrast this map of US counties with the one above it.  Here the shading from light to dark corresponds to the actual number of SNAP beneficiaries in a county. The lightest shading indicates counties where there are less than 2,000 beneficiaries. The darkest shading indicates a county with 100,000 or more SNAP recipients. There are obvious visible differences between the areas shaded for numerous beneficiaries on this map and the areas shaded for high participation rates on the one above it. The West Coast is shaded for the large number of people in the area using SNAP, though it isn’t shaded for its participation rate which remains relatively low.  It’s important to realize that a low participation rate of 10% still translates to a huge number of people in crowded urban areas.  The same is true in the Northeast.Participation rates aren’t meaningful by themselves without considering the size of the population base in an area. The rates are useful for understanding societal characteristics.  To understand the amount of funding needed to support SNAP in one area compared to another, the number of people who get benefits must be considered.

Owsley County, Kentucky isn’t known for anything special. It’s in the eastern part of the state where there used to be a coal mining area. In the 2012 presidential election, 81% of the vote was for Romney. There are 3,144 counties in the US and only three have more of their population in food stamps than Owsley. 52% of the county benefits from SNAP compared to a nationwide average of 15%.
Further south on the map, where the Mississippi loops back and forth in a series of countless tight squiggles, Humphreys County is found 20 miles east of the river. After Owsley, it ranks next in the use of food stamps. 51% of the population there benefits from SNAP.  Like Owsley, Humphreys is in an area where poverty is a problem. Owsley, KY is 99% white while Humphreys, MS is 72% black.
Estrangement between the races shows up in the House representatives from districts where a lot of people use SNAP.  Throughout Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia where 62 of the 100 counties in the US with the highest participation in SNAP, white voters elect Republican representatives, while black voters elect Democrats.  The Democratic House members support the food stamps program.  The Republican members betray and undermine their constituents by opposing the program.

The Food Stamp Capital of the U.S. is WHITE and REPUBLICAN

In spite of the prevailing stereotypes and assumptions about who uses SNAP Food Stamp benefits the most in the United States, the highest usage is not in Compton, Queens, nor the South Side of Chicago. Instead, a city that is 99.22% white and 95% Republican comes in the lead. Owsley County, Kentucky is a community of about 5,000, residents earning the lowest median household income in the country outside of Puerto Rico, according to the U.S. Census.

The Daily Kos also posted a table regarding participation numbers and cities of highest SNAP use. You can view that table via the link above (The Daily Kos).
