If we do not share such information, people who might care to know will to know.  Uneducated (lack of knowledge) people are as dangerous as any foreign military threat. Why? Because we have people in the GOP who have proven they will revert back to the same policies as Bush/Cheney, and you know where that landed us.

The Progressive Influence And Republicoft: Clarence Thomas, Race And Other Matters Part 1!

In Clarence Thomas on February 24, 2014 at 12:51 PM

“My sadness is that we are probably today more race and difference-conscious than I was in the 1960s when I went to school. To my knowledge, I was the first black kid in Savannah, Georgia, to go to a white school. Rarely did the issue of race come up,” said Thomas. “Differences in race, differences in sex, somebody doesn’t look at you right, somebody says something. Everybody is sensitive. If I had been as sensitive as that in the 1960s, I’d still be in Savannah.”

“The worst I have been treated was by northern liberal elites. The absolute worst I have ever been treated. The worst things that have been done to me, the worst things that have been said about me, by northern liberal elites, not by the people of Savannah, Georgia,” said Thomas.

As to the quotes above, we assert Mr. Thomas is a liar and fulfilling a role outside the purview of his position on the SCOTUS. (See All Voices Link below)

On February 11th, 2014 Yahoo News reported on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas speaking engagement comments about race.

While visiting the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Fla., Thomas spoke of America as a place where people “are too sensitive to race.” We agree with Thomas, but from a diametrically opposite realm. His choice of politics (ideology and party) and past confessions about hating his ethnicity as he grew to manhood should be factored into any comments for a man who speaks no words as he sits on the nation’s highest court. Our attention also settles on the location of Thomas’s event comments.  He did not exactly speak to the student body at Howard University.  (A university where Rand Paul, also made a fool of himself, as he attempted to ingratiate himself with an audience of collegiate intellectuals and (some) faculty.) He does what Republicans do; they choose audiences that are most inclined to accept their messages from a paradigm ‘salted” with similar ideology. Palm Beach Atlantic University monikers itself (Via its website) as a Christian University.

While I think it admirable the university exists to serve with a “proclaimed” slant towards Christianity, I also recall Ronald Reagan’s over-the-top affinity for Bob Jones University before its “alleged social awakening.”  An awakening that led to elimination of school on-campus segregation policy.

Thus, Thomas’s choice of audience was not only not surprising, it fits neatly into my perception of Republicanism. “Speak publicly, Safely and Conveniently, Only.” The very reason Rand Paul whispers so much, and Ted Cruz is considered a loose cannon. I have no issues with Christianity in a more inclusive sensce (which is often not the case). I have major issues with how humanity conveniently and strategically uses Christianity as a platform for outright bigotry, racism and oppression. Moreover, our concern and issues are not with Palm Beach Atlantic University, our issues are best delineated via an article for All Voices published February, 14th.

Clarence Thomas is a Republican tool and he has served the movement and ideology very well since well, before he was appointed to the SCOTUS (by Bush the Elder). Basically, he is disingenuous and he chooses to completely ignore his party’s role in fostering a core of bigotry and racism that feeds the very phony nature of his words at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

We offer a two part article on Thomas and his event comments. The parts are long, be forewarned. The nation’s second black Supreme Court Justice as a conservative, Republican “exhibit” and as a conservative policy facilitator is not an item for quick reads and Twitter-like burst of “neo-language.” You may wish to read the pieces in multiple settings.  The first part follows. We will publish the second part late tonight or tomorrow.

Clarence Thomas is renowned for his silence during proceedings in the Supreme Court. When he does speak, he reveals himself as utterly vacuous and oblivious to anything resembling reality. Thomas latest comments on race are a supreme example. During…
