Maddow, Hayes, Kornacki and O’Donnell Perform Stellar Investigation And Analysis

In Lawrence O'Donnell, MSNBC, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan on January 15, 2014 at 11:38 AM

Anyone who reads here probably is aware of “Bridgegate” and MSNBC’s delivery of stellar news, investigation and deep analysis on Chris Christe’s “Bridgegate” scandal. Yes, the matter is a scandal and it is proving to be more and more a major scandal as the days past. We should also fairly state a fact regarding the coverage. MSNBC coverage while stellar is probably influenced by Christe’s past behavior and a “proud tough guy/bully” and, frankly, his leading the pack as a GOP candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential ticket. Nonetheless, MSNBC did not order the GWB lane closure and MSNBC has not immersed in a post closing (and front page coverage) Cover-up.

Mediate reporting on last weeks News show ratings reveals million across the nation are interested in “Bridgegate” and what is turning into validation of a classic cover-up.

The ratings are indications of viewer preference for news shows during a narrowly defined period, shows and show host, but it takes exercise of mental process to see Christe’s troubles are the guiding light to those ratings. Ultimately, news stories and the quality of coverage also matters.  Viewer ratings indicate to us, people are not buying Christe’s discombobulated defense of what seems to be a crumbling cover-up.

MSNBC coverage last night was without equivocation stellar and revealing.  If you saw the segments, there is not need for a repeat run.  Unless, you find the story as intriguing a cover-up as anything cover-up perpetrated by Richard Nixon or Ronald Reagan. We at the TPI find the following broadcast evidence of what we once expected and received from investigatory new sources like 60 Minutes (Prior to the hire of David Rhodes of Fox News), The broadcast stories also remind of investigation and analysis as thorough as the work of Woodward and Bernstein during the Nixon Watergate Scandal.

The segments are a bit long, but you know our credo on the length of MSNBC broadcast segments. High-information people find time to soak-up information that differentiates from the LIVs (Low-information voters/people) who watch other cable networks that focus on Obama Derangement Syndrome (ODS).

Lawrence O’Donnell conducted a spirited and seeming ‘dead-on” segment related to Christe’s (Now” Claim he will cooperate with authorities in “Bridgegate” Investigations.

As indicated by O’Donnell and his panel guest, we feel Chrsite remains surrounded by people who have a vested interest in putting “Bridegate” deep into the rear-view mirror.

We also wonder which of the insiders will seek the protection of “The Fifth Amendment” to avoid possible convictions of felonies, jail-time or career damaging resumes.
